Great stuff Paul. I actually sold my bottle of Carlisle a while ago because I had a few things that were similar, but after missing the scent I decided to pick up Alhambra's Exclusif Tabac which I found to be a smoother and more tobacco-y version. Less apple too, but not missing too much of the sweetness. I know it's supposed to be a CH clone, but I actually prefer the scent. Carlisle was a powerhouse.

bought this several months ago and I Absolutely HATED it. I was ready to toss it but someone suggested I let it rest and macerate. So I did for about 2 months. In the interim I picked up Alhambra's Cassius another Carlisle clone. From first spray...LOVED it. It's Sooooo close on the drydown especially. Then I went back to Tafakhar and it got MUCH better. But still not as good or as close to Carlisle as Cassius. Neither one of them has the potency of the original...but they aren't bad fragrances and even layer pretty well together. Borouj Perlador is pretty good and has higher quality. Your take is spot on with this one Mags. Thanks for the review.

I got it couple of months ago, based on another KZfaqr review but was not sure weather it is a good Carlisle clone or not since i never smelled the original pdm, so thank you very much for this review, got to say its amazing smell
