Tagaytay's got it goin' on! It's the foodie capital of Batangas, good food and restaurants everywhere. It's such a great place for a short break and a relaxing cool change. I came here by bus and it was easy - once you know how. My hotel, the boutique Carmelence Lodge was fabulous too. Inexpensive with great staff and even better service and, the place is situated close to many of Tagaytay's notable restaurants and tourist hang-outs including lots of Lake Taal viewing spots.Do yourself a big favour and take a relaxing cool break in Tagaytay Foodie Heaven! Oh, and make sure you pack some warm clothes and make sure you check out the Tsokolateria Restaurant.

Hey Marshall, thanks for the vid! Glad you're enjoying Tagaytay. It's usually cooler there than Metro Manila & it's a fave getaway for ppl from surrounding areas. Looking forward to more adventures. regarding your comment about offering food to strangers, or in your case an Australian, it's one of the common Filipino traits. We always offer food. If you visit a friend or relative's house, you will definitely get offered food, whatever time it is, even if you just ate and still full :) If someone's eating and you talk to them, they will even offer food to you. It's how we Filipinos are. By the way, we always watch your vlogs especially during lunch or dinner [NJ, USA]. Great job so far and keep it up. Your channel will be famous one day :)

I don't understand why cooler places like Tagaytay don't see the value of serving their food hot. I would prefer to sit in the breakfast area and wait while they cook my breakfast so it comes to me piping hot. Pretty surprised it wasn't served with rice, unless you requested. == Are those calamansi slices candied?! They should have removed the seeds; they're very bitter. == Champorado (chocolate rice porridge) is easy to make and filling and the sweetness/dairy level can be zero. Better with brown rice for extra fiber. Many like to eat it with salty dried fish fried to a crisp.

It didn't, maybe the the calamansi slices were marinated in something sweet. I'm not sure. They were a little bitter but it enhanced the soufflé.

When I think of restaurants to represent Filipino food, I think of just two. Pamana and Manam.

@@marshallbuttersvlogs6880 Manam is scattered around Metro Manila Malls. The one that I go to personally is the Trinoma location in QC. I'm pretty sure there's other restaurants that can better these two but when it comes to chain restaurants that serve Filipino food, these two tops them. PS: Best Crispy Pata is from Livestock Restaurant and Bar in QC.

Senior card is for Filipino citizens only (I think).

@@jossysullivan1642 maybe only for former PH citizens? I have a colleague married to a foreigner who's now senior - he isn't eligible for the card. Edit: I just googled. Foreigners can get a senior card if they're resident (resident visa or SRR visa or with ACR card). Even if Marshall's age is 60, he's on tourist visa so he's not eligible.
