I find so much fascination in watching these videos you make on full body tracking IMUs, even though I don’t have any current plans on getting any. Your videos are just so informative and well versed, haha.

As a fellow full body user I usually always warn people about IMU's not being anywhere near as good as other tracking options but they are still worth it if you are willing to put in a bit more effort while calibrating. For reference I started my full body journey about 2 years ago now and I started with Vive 3.0 trackers and then swapped to Tundra trackers as I started to learn more about dancing. Love the video keep up the great work. And yes even though I have spent way more money then I needed to I will still say it was worth it to me.

It never fails to amaze me how Furries and the ehm, *mature content enjoyers* keep pushing technology forward, from VR to AI it just keeps pushing this stuff forward and making it better.

I have these exact trackers and have used them for 3 months now. From my experience, the tracking is very smooth including the ankle rotation. I have to put the sensor close to the top of my feet to make it track easier. Some days, the trackers don't drift much, and some days the trackers drift a lot within a minute, especially the hip tracker for me but it's not a deal breaker because recalibrating is super easy. I never really loose connection with the trackers at all, but only when I sit down leaning forward and my belly is covering the hip tracker xD so no good if you have a dad bod lol! The trackers do shift a lot on my body and I wear certain clothing that doesn't make it move much. Thankfully, I never ran into the software issues you had to deal with about steam vr, I suppose I got lucky. Also not many people know this, but you can recalibrate while lying down straight and it's quite good. Great video!

To start, the casual nature of this video was very nice. No frills or un-needed info, with lots of demo of the tracking. Spot on! The issue with one tracker disconnecting (Especially while laying or sitting) is most likely the tracker thinking its not being used anymore and going to sleep. I have this same issue with my feet trackers on my goofy CV1 trackers. However mine just "freezes" in space, waiting for the connection. The reason yours go to a Default position is because for the estimation to work, it needs ALL trackers at all times to do its magic. However, just like Meta and the Quest Pro controllers, I am sure a software update will come out that will make this work so much better. Especially with 20 hour run time, I don't think the trackers need to be going to sleep really at all. An option to turn battery saving on or off would be welcome! The simple "foot rotation" sensor was a great addition that other IMU based sets don't feature! Great vid! Keep it up! ^^

Surprised you didn't mention that you can use it with SlimeVR as opposed to relying on HaritoraX Configurator

If I remember correctly someone made a tool that lets you actually use these as slimevr trackers, might be something worth testing

Got these a few days ago, so far I am really happy with the tracking, but it seems to have a mood of it's own, some days it works perfectly, on other days you get a lot more drift. But since you can quickly callibrate without leaving VRC it's fine even on a "bad" day

I've had Haritora X Wireless for almost a year now and 1. The Steam crashing thing happens to me literally every time I use it and I ONLY have Haritora as an addon to steam VR 2. When one tracker goes out they all go out regardless of positioning, I've had trackers die and or just disconnect since my Bluetooth was poor and everything goes out as soon as one does

I have the wired version, or the 1.1 version. It works great majority of the time. Sometimes it randomly disconnects from bluetooth and I have to recalibrate but it happens so rarely it's not even an issue lol

Yeah as someone with the wired HaritoraX I definitely understand your avoidance. That was a PAIN to set up. That said wow, these both seem like they have better tracking and just, much more comfort than the wired version! Quite an improvement for sure. The "if one fail, they all fail" aspect of it though, that seems wild. They're wireless, why would they behave like Christmas lights and all die when there's minor interference for one of them??? That seems ridiculous

Can I suggest making a video about Standable? (Maybe including how it can benefit Vive/Tundra/Slime/Haritora/Axis/Kinect/etc tracking, though currently afaik it doesn't help slime and similar as much as it could but it's still being worked on)

Hmm... for me, I hve lots of regular trackers, but the issue is that they often go out of sight of the older V1 lighthouses I have, and upgrading to V2s would cost me a huge amount. I've always had the HatitoraX in mind (because the wired version means I can have as long as a battery life as I want), so I'm conflicted now, after this review, if I'm just better off upgrading my lighthouses or just getting the HaitoraX (wired or Wireless), or waiting for the fabled update you were talking about at the end.

Quest 2 also works with estimation.

Future FBT i forsee is 4 webcams, and ai tracking you only you. Still drifting in my SlimeVR here ^^ and still ppl I meet think Im using basestations. 12 slimes is the golden number I have discovered for good tracking (just need to make Yaw reset shortcut button on cotntroller) But I do wanna get rid of the drift so , waiting for something new. Hey, I was wondering, what you are thinking about the standable app on steam? Since it requires camera access to emulate the trackers and it doesn't have the restrictions meta has to scramble the input, do you think it is safe to use? Seems like a good cheap alternative to trackers for PCVR

Quick tip if your tech savy enough you could just use your phone camera or pc webcam on pc for fbt but the quality depents pretty hard on how good your camera is

I literally just got the slimes. Well I mean kind of. I got them a while ago but one tracker bricked itself shortly after using it for a little. I am being extremely careful not to overcharge them now. Anyways, I dont got elbows and I didnt realize the quest 3 estimation actually estimates elbows, I should use that.

Can you go over ZeniVR because I've been seeing it everywhere and I don't know if I should buy it or not.

I wonder if eventually you could have tracking connected you your brain, the computer can track directly from where body says it is in space.

honestly if u have the quest 3 you could probobly get away with waiting for the lower body tracking to come out if it hasnt already and then pair it with camera tracking for hopefully better feadback

One aspect not talked alot is the worldwide. Still looking for body trackers who have fair or just even have currency convertion so I don't need to sell my car for one of these! BUT Happy bodytrackers on USA are getting cheaper, one way or another it's gonna get cheaper for worldwide in that way!

Any new stuff always has bugs and kinks to work out in the design. For now, I’ll probably be sticking to Slime trackers once I can get them, but definitely be keeping my eye on these for the future.

HIya, long time Haritora X user (Wired/Wireless). For the Trackers going into different directions is due to placement from when you first tracked. its sorta weird but the only way for it correctly line back up, you would have to close steamvr and the haritora x app. Speaking of Apps I find tracking to be slightly better using the mobile app then on pc. since the OSC/IP network information goes directly into VRChat and not using a third party like steam. I haven't tried it yet but I wonder if you can use the Haritora X mobile app on pc.. Anywho, also interesting fact. You can also use Haritora trackers as slime trackers.
