This Renault Master had been into the garage with a intermittent light fault, after a hefty bill the fault returned, here’s how I fixed the problem. Basic stuff

Thanks for great explanation. Fixed exactly the same problem with my rear light. I would have assumed that a light would work or not, but your explanation on how it can arc, making it work and not work was very clever.

Great video, I was having intermittent problem, brake light bulb fault warning, the bulb looked perfect no kinks or discoloration. It had failed right on the joint and looked ok.

Great video. Very clear. I wonder if you could help me. My two rear brake lights are working but the middle one on the rear window ins't. I have changed the bulbs and also the brake light switch and the middle brake light still does not come on. Any ideas. Thanks in advance.

Great video, I have a renault trafic van, it keeps blowing the near side brake light bulb, it even melted the light unit, cleaned all the terminals and bulb connections but it still keeps popping bulbs🤕

I have an 06 Silverado. & What I'm noticing, is the daytime sensor causes my brakes & blinker lights to dim & not work correctly at night time. Would there be a way to bypass sensor?

Hello mate, really helpful video- Thanks.Just wondering, I’ve got a Honda Jazz 08 and the rear near side light , brake and reverse light aren’t coming on.Could one fawlty bulb blow the other two.Would it be the case to replace all 3 bulbs or could it be something more sinister?Appreciate any help-Thanks again. Hmm interesting. I have issue on my Vauxhall Omega that taillight brake slight not working and error on dash . Found bad boulb swapped boulb but error still on dash … definitely will go and have a look and try to find that one bad lights …

Hi, I just fitted in new brake light bulbs on passenger side rear and as soon as I plugged back in the connector all the power cut to my vehicle. Could this be a fuse issue due to incorrect bulb wattages????

I wonder what they charged him and for what .? Can I have your thoughts on this possibly just a bulb as I have a Skoda Octavia 1600 just failed the mot there was a comment written on the eventual pass certificate and I quote position lamp with a multiple light source up to 1/2 not functioning offside rear ?double Dutch to me can you advise anything please

aaanton11 Hi, I have a '94 Nissan Altima. I replaced the Brake lamp switch , put in new tail light bulb which stopped my brake lights from staying on. So I thought it was fixed and I didnt have to unhook my positive battery terminal everytime I got out now. Battery was dead next morning. Installed new battery, brake lights back on again lol. I kept smelling wires burning and it was coming from my left tail lights. The ground wire had burnt and melted my tail light housing around where the ground connector screws down to the housing frame. Any ideal what's causing this or can you send me a video how to fix it. My brake light and battery light are staying on and I guess this is why.

You must have a short circuit, did you use the correct bulb, there are many different ones that might go in the wrong hole, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠

*get under your steering column and make sure your loom connections are all plugged in* people often play footsie with their cars... And most mechanics forget the most basic part of the job too.

could u help me, i have an issue with my back right brake light, put my foot on the brake and the both brake lights come on but a few seconds later the right one turns off while the othe is still on, i then turn off my headlights and turn them back on only to find the brake light will work again for a few seconds and then repeat, any help would be great thanks

@@aaanton11 While we’re in the same rabbit hole, I’ve got a similar issue on my Mini Cooper. The top light of the tail light cluster is not working. It’s not corroded and I’m using a new bulb. I even got a new socket. Still nothing. As I’m turning the socket I see a little blue spark. I think there’s something up with the circuit board.

@@aaanton11 Hi, could I ask, "How do you check the earth?" I have a multi-meter. I think that my old 2003 Ford Focus hatchback 'may' have this as a problem. as the off-side tail-light has stopped working. Changed the bulb & checked all the contacts, still doesn't work. My lovely old car has now just failed it's MOT test, so this is really important to me. Trouble is that I can't afford to spend a fortune at a garage for them to find & rectify the fault. Have you any ideas please?

Sorry maybe I am missing something here, but the first thing anyone does when a light bulb isn't working is replace it? If you have a light going in your house, you don't call an electrician to rewire the house

Hey my back lights won’t work when I turn my lights on only the headlights and blinkers, then when I turn the lights off my brake lights work and signals.. do you know what the issue could be? I replaced the bulbs and fuses so that’s not the issue.. anybody can help me out?!?! Please

Oh dear god, like a noob mechanic I was convinced it was the bulb holder (flick lens and light is back on, new bulbs) and it's the rubbish Halfords broken-from-the-factory bulb!! £33 for the bulb holder btw...
