At this point (6:19) Shop Cat will make his world KZfaq debut... Thanks for the video... it cleared up some questions l had about the install procedure (like, should l bribe a buddy to come help me do it?). This gizmo will be a solid improvement for my 20 yr old Ram.

just installed this and the template holes are not the same distance as the actual bar diatance. you will see once you get it. just lay it on the template to see what u mean. I just installed it in the truck bed first then made a make on tailgate where that hokd should go using the bar as my guide/length.

The video is good but the product isn't, I notice you didn't show how fast the tailgate opens because it opens way to fast. Yes it will close with two fingers so if that's what you need then this product is for you
