Tailgate Window Hinge Repair on 05 Tahoe Z71

Replace the rear window lift struts at the end of last year and over the months the hinge slowly broke away from the window due to the new lift struts. Repaired with the JB Weld and that solved the problem so far.

Hello, I was thinking of the same, Using a Weld type Epoxy, my Hinge broke just about the same way yours did. Thanks gor ur time & info making this Video ! Helpful !

Thanks for checking out the video. Let me know how it hold up for you. With me being in Texas mine did not hold up. So I just went to the junkyard and got a replacement

Replaced my supports end of may. July my hinges broke. I saved my glass and like you after researching am going to JB weld them. I did go to lkq in houston and picked up a a rear glass for my Tahoe less than $50. Just fyi.

@@CHEVYLYFEGARAGE thanks for the video just watch like 4 back to back. Could you do a update on the lift and maybe an idea of cost. Really would like to know. I have a 03 Yukon and really want to do it. Really like the truck and wheels you are doing a great job

@@NICEandEASY024 very unfortunate, I have done some research and all I came across is you have to replace the whole window. So if you find out anything different please keep me updated
