Күн бұрынThis is the first of a series of videos on making and tailoring rectangular construction tunics and dresses to fit modern body types. This type is construction was commonly used up until the 12-13th centuries and is my go-to for reenactment.

Another thought about wrist-or-fist measurements.... When it comes to garments, I have to be able to do kitchen work in them, so if I want to roll up my sleeves, I have to take a measurement of my forearm to roll those sleeves up. If you're doing something that can have buttons down the sleeve that can be unbuttoned and rolled up, this may not be a necessary consideration.

Thank you so much Libby, I'm a bit spatially challenged and need formula to follow. The way you have broken down the shapes and measurements gives me a guide to how wide I will need to weave my cloth to minimise wastage.
