thank you for this! i have woven many things already and my most recent make the pattern was on the bottom, but also not only had i managed to flip my S & Z, but i think i'd also messed up loading some of the cards because i made a completely different pattern. instead of starting over, tho, i just rolled with it. but i've downloaded that handout and will refer to it in the future! again, thank you so much!

GREAT information. I'm always doing things upside down - and at least was happy it was happening. Using Tablets At Work as well as several other books and using twisted threads to design and check things. Still new but have heart set on doing TAW "twill" and also have the two "Lilies" books to play with

I would also like to see a video covering the left-or-right facing cards. I was taught to tablet-weave with my cards facing left, but most of the videos I see on KZfaq have them facing right.

I’m doing my 2nd weave ever and they both been on the bottom. I’ve rethreaded, I’ve checked again and again and the warps are both s and a correct. It’s the oseberg pattern and it’s driving me mental. I can’t figure out what this is, but turning the entire work fixes it. Just meh.. I’m guessing I’ll figure it out. Thank you for your otherwise brilliant explanation

Okay, I looked at the link. My cards are not marked as the example is. A and D are my start point. My cards are marked out clockwise. Is this why the patterns in Applesies and Fox noses turn out weird?
