Actually, it could work were now that tails lives with sonic and knuckles (genesis reference) I hope we see a part were it's a dark night and tails is sleeping with sonic and then lightning starts and if it happens it will be the best video game movie ever made.

Since Tails is still afraid of lightning he's really gonna be aftraid of someone who can command Lightning like Link, Luigi, and Pikachu.

He's actually dealt with things that have power over lightning or electricity, and he's fine with it. That's probably because it's controlled. But natural lightning is another thing, because it can't be controlled and it's unpredictable.

@@fatalwaffle1715 Tails has a 300 IQ. He can come up with a way to counter electric attacks. Natural lightning is different, because it's way stronger and it's unpredictable.

Also worth mentionning that in the stage transition cutscene from Metallic Madness to Titanic Monarch in Sonic Mania. Lightning strikes the ground in which everytime they appear, Tails jumps a bit. That is such a cool Easter Egg considering his fear of lightning is consistent throughout the serie

I'll give Tails the benefit of a doubt because he flies and a lot of stuff flies Planes, Helicopters, etc get struck by lightning and that's his fear: being stuck by lightning

The Recent Twitter takeover goes over how he developed his fear of lightning. It was because before he met Sonic, he lived alone in the woods, and his worst nights were during stormy nights

Poor Tails, I think is because he has sensitive hearing and the noise scares him, I get it cause I have Ligyrophobia, So I'm afraid of Balloons and Fireworks and Some other loud noises and is pretty hard :"/ Tails is my fav character, and also my Comfort character...
