謝謝 Miss Lin. Brings back memories for me. First time I came to Taiwan was 1988. KTV was very big at that time. I went often in the 6 months I was here. I haven't been a lot in the 8 years I've lived in Taipei now. My wife likes to sing..... me, not so much, but I like to listen to Mandarin, Taiwanese and Cantonese songs a lot.

In Taiwanese drama also, when they celebrate something for their company with their collegues or broke up with the ML , they mostly go to KTV .

Karaoke is well-loved in Japan too. 🇯🇵 My friends took me there and I loved it. This video sprung up some sweet memories.💕 Glad I can go in Taiwan too.🇹🇼 I notice that everything in Taiwan from menus to signs are all in Chinese characters so I'm studying them so I won't be completely clueless when I get there. Is there one book or site with all the characters that you recommend? I studied from several resources, it would be easier if there was one I could refer to. This listening practice was helpful, thank you.😊

I saw a drama of Jasper Liu, there were solo KTVs just outside (mall or park). But when I went to taiwan, I didnt see any 🤔😂

Hi, I love your channel. It's very helpful! I'm wondering if you could do a video on how chinese tone combinations sound in fast colloquial speech. I can only find videos of tone combinations where they pronounce combinations of two characters slowly and won't connect them in connected speech. They only pronounce them slowly, one character at a time with the tones that are written, but that's not how normal mandarin speaking people talk. The tones change a bit when they're connected on normal speech. Could you please teach me how tone combinations work in fast colloquial mandarin?

I enjoyed KTV when first years in Asia, later my interest faded. I think now people like to sing KTV in app and post on the internet. Then they can get score and reach wider audience. Your dad can sing in Japanese! Sometimes Taiwanese speak to me in Japanese, even I am obviously a foreigner. I think because their second language is Japanese.

我三年住在台北，KTV非常流行但是我還不懂為什麼台灣人喜歡KTV這麼多，我只覺得KTV還好。我喜歡KTV沒有台灣人那麼多😂

台湾真的有比较少歌可以唱，我还记得我在中国大陆找到了超多想唱的歌，在台湾没找到了那么多。可能是为了copyright 哈哈。 your videos are very helpful, thank you for making them!
