I spent a week in Taipei. What a nice place. Great food and great everything! I can't wait to go back. The people made the vacation so memorable, helpful, friendly, and nice. I have seldom felt as safe and comfortable as I did on that vacation.

that prawning game really came out of the blue and was a bit discomforting to me, i keep local freshwater shrimps in my tank and really felt sorry for these poor creatures, i understand that they are meant for consumption but a stab in the head before shoving them up and putting them on the grill ain't too much to ask for

Weird name to call macadamia nuts Hawaii beans! And they may be Hawaiian grown but its an Australian native plant. People seem to not know this! Hot Star is the best fried chicken! We have a few stores in Sydney. Even their fried mushrooms are delish! We even have a few jiggly cheesecake chain stores now! One brand Japanese, one Chinese and one Korean. Sausage in rice bun looked appetizing. The chef was so fast with the ingredients! That cheese hot dog. Wow the cheese pull was insane! Looks like you guys had a wonderful dinner snacking on many yummy items this night :)

Missing in America; Local Street Foods Markets. I wish to see a major growing trend in the United States where we definitely do not have enough street food vendors and open markets. With the death of the "Urban" shopping Mall and Anchor Stores as well as their Food Courts, I strongly believe bringing street foods and open markets to neighborhoods would be a beneficial move in part of business owners and the public both. In America we seem to recycle trends set of many things such as apparel, automobile styling, home decor, foods, etc etc, I thinl you get what Im saying. The shopping Malls are quickly turning to ghost buildings with shopping trends moving business closer to our homes and where small specialty shops are now widely sought after. Women are hitting up their local boutiques and these specialty shops as was done many many years ago. Maybe its wishful thinking on my part, but frankly im sick and tired of Chain Restaurants that serve us sub par food from ridiculously over priced menus. Most of that food has very little nutritional value compared to "street foods" Sure alot of street food is high in fat and cholesterol etc, but apples to oranges youre getting fresh foods cooked quickly saving alot of thr nutritional value and think of all of the fresh veggies grilled, stir fried, roasted all out in open street food markets. I dont know about any of you, but to me street food as a staple sounds better and better all of the time! So heres to the future of Street Foods nationwide on american soil!
