The man behind the massive ed-tech company Byju's, Byju Raveendran, has gone through a roller coaster of success and failure. He sobbed in April amid a high-profile raid on his company that sparked worries about possible currency crimes. This was a dramatic departure from the year before, when Raveendran's personal fortune shot up to an astounding $30,600 crore rupees ($4.1 billion), a 26 percent increase. But as investors reduced their estimates, the company's fortunes suffered, and Raveendran's name disappeared from the Hurun India wealthy list for 2023.
Byju Raveendran set out on a quest in 2011 that would ultimately change the face of online education in India. Raveendran established Byju's because he is passionate about teaching and wants to make education more interesting and approachable. By employing a distinct methodology that included adaptive learning technologies, his objective was to provide pupils around the nation with customised learning opportunities.
Students and investors alike were soon drawn to Raveendran's creative approaches. Learners responded well to Byju's capacity to customise instruction to meet their requirements, and soon enough, big investors like Sequoia Capital and the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative jumped on board, turning the company into a billion-dollar start-up. Given the great hopes and expectations for the future of online education in India, its valuation surged.

ഞാൻ ഒരു Entrance Maths അദ്ധ്യാപകൻ ആണ്.ബൈജുവിൽ നിന്നും ഒരു Maths teacher offer വന്നിട്ടും ഞാൻ അത് reject ചെയ്തു! ഒരുപാട് അധ്യാപർക്ക് ഇപ്പോളും payment മുടങ്ങി കിടക്കുവാണ്.ഇത്രയും നാൾ അവരുടെയെല്ലാം ചാർ ഊറ്റി കുടിക്കുവായിരുന്നു ഈ സ്ഥാപനം. കൂടാതെ ഒരുപാട് parents ന്റെ ശാപവും ഉണ്ട്! അതുകൊണ്ട് ആയിരിക്കാം ഇത്രയും വലിയ ഒരു തകർച്ച നേരിടേണ്ടി വന്നത്!

അതെ. xylem free ആയി ക്ളാസ് കാണാം..exam സമയത്ത് അവർ free ആയി ക്ളാസ് നൽകാറുണ്ട്..എന്റെ മകൾ അത് നോക്കിയാണ് പഠിക്കുന്നത്..നല്ല പ്രയോജനമുള്ള ക്ളാസുകൾ..ബൈജൂസിന്റെ ഒരു ക്ളാസുപോലും free ആയി കിട്ടില്ല..അതുതന്നെയാണ് അതിന്റെ നാശവും..

സത്യം. അവരുടെ Strategy വളരെ മോശമാണ്. എന്റെ ഒരു friend (degree കഴിഞ്ഞതാണ് ) എന്തിനോ വേണ്ടി ഇവരുടെ Websiteൽ ഒന്ന് കേറി. പിന്നെ അവർ ഇവളെ വിളിയോട് വിളിയായിരുന്നു. ഓരോ പ്രാശ്യോo വിളിക്കും. ചേരുന്നില്ലന്നു പറയും cut ചെയ്യും. ഇതു തന്നെ ... ഒറ്റ പ്രാവശ്യംകൊണ്ട് നിർത്തുവാണെങ്കിൽ കുഴപ്പമില്ല ..

Brother your 100%right, but reset process not easy there is new start up challenge in the market with new trend, so.. you can image... So that big bubble should stay same and work hard or introduce new product and continue find new investors, there is no end otherwise surrender. Major problem these start up not ready to hard work, they just trying through their laptop, there is no field experience people, because of start up is mind creating idea, they are trying to impose their dream. Actually my experience market(meaning of this they never try to learn). They want take the training from a small retailer. Dont think with talent and laptop will make everything.

ഞാൻ byjus വഴി ഒരു കോഴ്സ് ചേർന്നു.... അത് ഒരു EMI loan ആയിട്ടാ ചേർന്നേ... Aditya birla capital അതിൽ ആയിരുന്നുaa loan...5000 രൂപ downpayment ആയിട്ടാ ചേർന്നത്.... പിന്നെ ഞാൻ ഇതിന്റെ ചതി മനസിലാക്കി കോഴ്സ് ക്യാൻസൽ ആക്കി..5000 രൂപ തിരിച്ചു തന്നു... പിന്നീട് ഒരു വർഷം കഴിഞ്ഞു ഞാൻ ഒരു loan എടുക്കാനായി ബാങ്കിൽ പോയപ്പോൾ എന്റെ cibil ചെക്ക് ചെയ്തപ്പോൾ ആ loan due ആയിട്ടാ കാണിക്കണേ..6 month EMI due.. Loan ഇപ്പോഴും active ആയിട്ടും..... ഞാൻ അന്വേഷിച്ചപ്പോൾ ഇത് ഓൺലൈൻ ആയിട്ടല്ലേ ചേർന്നേ അപ്പോൾ close ചെയ്യാൻ customer care വിളിക്കാൻ പറഞ്ഞു. Cibil Dispute file ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട്... ഒരു മാറ്റം വന്നിട്ടില്ല... ഞാൻ ഇപ്പോൾ ആകെ പെട്ടിരിക്കാണ്.. എന്താ ചെയ്യാ ariyanila...

After a point the company only concentrated on profit than giving quality customer service . They failed to communicate properly with the parents , and when the parents got irritated and angry they ignored them or even started threatening them so as a former employee I already knew that it won’t run further !Parents already paid huge amount to purchase the product so it’s their responsibility to give quality classes,, he fired all the service engineers and asked the teachers to handle if any technical issues came up in the class .., so there is a limit that a teacher can fix technical problems , the kids and the teachers are helpless and when the time is over the money will be deducted from the parents account, we teachers can’t call or inform this to anyone no customer support in class support nothing was there after a point !

Byjus could have been the best educational system in future. But since they considered education as buisness, their countdown started. I was a BDA at Byjus and I should accept how thier 3 month training changed my perspective about sales. I think it is one of the best training anyone could get by getting paid themselves. I considered so😂. The pressure is high but even you get selected or not selected, it will be a lifetime experience.

Iam happy that the real face of this startup is revealed.. as a middle class parent I faced their aggressive selling, trapping and scamming..but I was intelligent to understand their scam and strong headed to avoid them..they threatened me to take the package only because they came to my home to introduce their product. They will never clarify about payment methods. First when they will send advertisers to your home they won't give a hint about how expensive are their packages. Then the advertisers will ask permission to send representatives to introduce their scam😂..if they came to your house then you have to take the package that's the threatening deal..am happy this company is collapsing..not because am jealous but becoz they are trying to scam common working class and below middle class people 😢
