Thank you so much, this was exactly the route we needed to take today and took great advantage from this video! Some variations we had today (August 2023): we took uber instead of metro because of luggage (80 EGP from downtown cairo). The microbusstation is still in the same spot and still aims at the same directions. There is a toilet opposite the street in the fish market. Microbus was 40 EGP per person and 40 for the luggage. You pay rather in the end. We had not to get out on that crossing at Lake Qarun, the microbus passed Tunis directly but that depends on the route the driver is taking, the other People help a lot. It took us 3,5h in total, but our bus was filled quite fast, thanks to the great advice to look at the time you go there. Relaxing in the quiet pool right now with birds singing instead of traffic noise, thanks a lot!

The bus station moved to the south under the overpass. 10th June 2024.
