I replaced my fork internals with the Legend Axeo Performance kit for my 2016' Road glide Ultra CVO. The quality and machining of the components is very good. I also have Legend shocks on the back. Ride performance is a night and day difference, great improvement. Even though my bike had very low mileage, I replaced the bushings and fork seals too. Legend suspension components are very, very good and your bike will improve so much. What is not great is Legend customer service, actually there is NO customer service, actually their customer service sucks. I actually had to call Tony at Tucker Speed for assistance. The cartoon like instructions were not compatible with the CVO model. Any questions I had, had to be resolved via email, and that totally sucked trying to get things quickly accomplished. If I were to do it again I would have put in 1 turn of additional pre-load. What could have been a simple quick phone call ended up taking additional days and a second disassembly because the instructions were wrong.

I agree with you about Legends customer service because I had the same issue with them. I think if everyone left a negative Google review on the lack of the ability to be able talk to someone at customer service when a question arises they may change their ways. My grandfather had an old saying "Be nice to the people on the way up because you're going to meet the same people on the way down"

What size is the Allen on top of the legends fork cap when you torque it down on the Jim’s clamp tool

I have Ohlins rear on my 24 RG. looking to compliment the front with Ohlins. OR I may just do the Legends.

Ohlins cartridges are a great option too.

Hey, I noticed when he pulls the fork tube up to the top cap, it easily goes up to the threads, but when I just did mine, I had to push the cap in pretty good to get it threaded (maybe an inch or so). But it looks like I did everything right. Should I have to pressure the cap down to get it to thread on? It does feel kinda firm on the road. Definitely feel more of the road than the stock ones.

You usually shouldn’t have to force it very much. I would check the bottoming spring and cup and make sure it’s installed correctly and also make sure you have the correct length tubes for the cartridges you ordered.

oh man, I'd really hate to have to completely tear it all back down and start completely over. Was really hoping for better news. I definitely followed this video very closely and feel like it all went in correctly, but just had to push the cap in almost an inch to get it to start threading. Ugh. How do you know exactly where to reinstall the forks into the triples tree, is there an actual stop or measurement? So they’re not too high or too low, or one slightly different than the other. Sorry for what may be a novice question, just not sure. Thank you

You can measure, but we usually just line them up flush with the top of the top triple tree.

What fork oil weight did you use? I’m 180 lbs without gear, and I used the Axeo +2 springs on my FLHT but with Harley Heavy Fork oil, which I had heard is close to 20W, but made the front way too stiff for me. Thinking of trying 15W, but curious what you use and if you think I should try another brand’s 20W before trying 15W. Thanks!

Legends recommends 20wt. The Harley stuff may be slightly heavier. We usually run Maxima or Bel-Ray 20wt. Might be worth trying a different 20wt but if you feel like it’s too still you could try 15.

@@TuckerSpeed477 in your experience/opinion, do you find the 20W from those brands to provide the right feel for someone of my body weight? Just trying to avoid doing the tear down twice. Thanks!

@@TigerDavidson Yes, we usually have good results with the 20w. I would also check and make sure your pre-load setting is correct for your weight.
