@@XDizzleMusic not sure if it was a bug issue, I'm still on FL 12 but when I disable it and enable it, I can clearly hear a difference

It does seem to color the sound in a pleasing way When the compressors are engaged even when there's no processing being done it adds more depth as well. I love Maximus but you got to be careful using it because it is not suddle at all

What is the purpose of Post Gain then? To sort of overdrive everything? Would I be fine if I only ever used Pre Gain, if my goal is just clarity and clean juiciness of sound?

The post gain is to raise the level of the signal after the EQ & Compression.
