Please make more videos about the "finding where the tension is" aspect of the takedowns, if possible. Really fascinating!

The movement and leg strength in Kung Fu is what’s good. Lowering base. You can take a tall tower building down better than a wide two to three story building.

These theories don't usually work in real-time against moving non-compliant opponents if you don't have the proper structure. It's not the technique that makes things work, it is the structure, rooting, and sensitivity of the applier, if you have those things any technique will work.

I used self defense moves on people who pose a treat to me by striking fast and hard then take them down. I always end up in jail because I threw the first punch. Even though I was the one being threatened. Self defense moves are great to learn but the cost of defending yourself is just as painful as letting the other guy beat the crap outta you. Any advice?
@9usuck0
@9usuck0 4 жыл бұрын
I mean the first thing I could suggest is if there are people around then usually having a less dominant body language and be clear that you are defending and want them to stop verbally. Besides that, it's always hard to justify being the one to hit first. Learning De-escalation skills are really important. I've actually talked myself out of more situations than I've been in. But your area might not have the same situations as mine. I live in a pretty safe place.

Also, learning when to stop and how to explain why you felt justified.

Stop putting yourself in situations where you have to defend yourself? Why are you getting into so many fights?

If you're getting into fights coincidentally, maybe hide a tiny camera in your jacket or clothing to provide evidence you aren't the aggressor? Don't know if you want to go to that extent.

All that up to 1:30 can be done if the attacker... is relaxed. What are the odds that you will get him when his body is not postured stiff but relaxed? Actually none, unless you simply attack a guy that is not ready to fight, that is, his intent has not kicked in.

That's the same part where he explains to not go as hard/fast as you can on your friend, otherwise you' d hurt them badly, like breaking their neck. One of the weakest part of any punch/ block, or fake are the wrists and forearms where they can be controlled or pacified effectively. Ironically, that was the demonstrators very first move for that demonstration.

@@shellour1448 Going at it slowly is NO EXCUSE for wrong information. Going slow is a magnifying glass on a supposedly correct technique. It actually exposes whether one knows about fighting or not.

Do this against a partner who is trained in wrestling and actually resisting the move. This will not work against anyone with actual fight training.

Or against agressive and explosive attacker who will atack like an animal, and who will start punching first,and you will get hurt, and he will not stop. But against oponent who just stands in front of you with raised Hand and waits works great

Wing Chun doesn't "take down" with hands (that's Judo or jiu jitsu or Aikido you're adding in) Wing Chun takes the opponent's horse away with our horse, then we hold him up and hit him... Let's see some actual Wing Chun horse destruction moves.... This should be shown from chi sao and toi ma...
