I think you've done an incredible job getting this far with the amount of videos and the quality of the content that you make, honestly I'm surprised you haven't burned out sooner. I've burned out multiple times before and that's just aiming for 1 video per week and I have many gaps of over 1 month between my uploads. I think dialling it back is the right thing to do; forcing yourself to such an intense schedule smothers the spark of passion. Looking forward to seeing your new ideas for your less frequent but high quality content, wishing you the best mate.

Always take brakes! Adjust your schedule in a way that you always have at least a few days off each week, just like your regular job. I've been taking that approach for the last 6 months and thats been helping me staying productive and not getting bored and doing lots of videos at the same time

Your video quality is as good or better than any other fragrance reviewer. You put in a lot of hard work. I find it inspiring. If you ever feel like making a channel based on some other niche, I'm sure you'd succeed there as well. As far as your question about not knowing how these guys are making so much frag content... They're just b.s.-ing their way through it. I suggest staying open to the posibility of doing other types of youtube videos. You've developed the skill of making quality videos and of being relaxed on camera. You can do just about any type of content now.

Been watching you for a long time. I started my channel 3 weeks ago. Think I’m getting the hang of it. Learning things about myself like how I’m up at 3 am right now after making a video. It excites me and I love it, but I don’t know how crazy the pressure must get on the full timers and career KZfaqrs. Passion project channels like you represent what I’m modeling my own channel after. Dont care if I make money, it’s just fun! Take a break and enjoy it. I appreciate the support, I would say, keep going if you're into fragrances, because you get exposed to so many I never would have.I thought my collection would have got so big. Few things that helped me grow on youtube. -Get autopod ai. Saved me thousands of hours of editing. -Set up a "video set" So it makes it easy to just pop up and start shooting quickly. -Invest in audio. A lot of people who watch fragrance content listen to it in the background. If you have good audio, they'll keep watching. Focus on your thumbnails. Better thumbnails more clicks, more growth. Wish you the best!

Hope your back gets better! Taking a step back and focusing on the qualitative aspect on your videos is definently a good idea, and you have all of our support for it ❤. I also agree with you that it is suspicious how fast other fragrance influencers pump out reviews. Although following your passion is extremely important, never put it before your health and hapiness. Take as much time as you need to rest and recover both mentally and physically. Luna Rossa Ocean Le Parfum also smells nothing like the name suggests 😂.

I agree with the others: take time for yourself. That benefits yourself and those you care about most. ❤ I agree with the make lists of things you already own suggestion made previously. I have hundreds of bottles, and what makes me happy is to have a reviewer remind me to wear something I own. It can be based on a context or situation I didn’t think about, or a time of year I wouldn’t ordinarily wear something. Not earth-shattering, but definitely interesting to find out what others are currently wearing from their collection and why. Interesting even when you have wearings that fail to meet expectations! A list of not-to-dos is also interesting and useful. I also understand if this type of content is precisely what burns you out, because you want to go into depth but need more time. If you go where your heart leads you, and you publish less frequently, those of us who have followed you for the past two years will understand and be happier knowing you are pursuing your passion. Everything you do is good, but good must be ruthlessly cut because good is the enemy of the best. I am the worst at following this advice, but at least I know it is an ideal. 😅 Looking forward to learning more about your three new fragrances.

Dude. Burnout is too real- I'm sorry you were going through that man. Been there before with my channel too- I can only imagine with the amount of content you were putting out. Props for being one of the realest creators out there- that's why we like you so much man... doing the channel and all the editing yourself plus your regular job plus starting your own frag company is way more than people realize huh. I honestly started using an editor through fiverr a couple months ago who's a friggin g and yeah it takes from monthly payouts but it helps me stay afloat with my brand and fulfilling orders and stuff. I like that you still do your own edits and haven't lost sight of why we started these channels in the first place- it seems like a lot of creators (sometimes even the little fish like me lol) lose their way with that. Definitely not the most lucrative type of channels out there haha these frags cost so much especially keeping up with the new releases huh. Didn't know what to think about the le parfum either, good catch with the norlimbanol- i feel like a lot of these "elixirs" and "parfums" getting released these days are just norlimbanol/ambermax/amber xtreme shitfests 😂 Best of luck with Etanshi man those fragrances sound amazing! The main thing I look for from fragrance content is long term reviews. First Impressions don't help anyone. You need time to experience each fragrance. The nuances of each fragrance versus the others. Not to mention, how these fragrances perform/smell in various weather climates (Summer/Winter/etc). Please, feel free to slow down to give better reviews. ❤❤

I'm subscribed to the channels you mentioned and half the time I find myself totally zoned out watching them because it's the same stuff over and over, it just becomes redundant. Yo, this video hit me hard, man. I totally agree with what you said. Remember when you had like a thousand subs and I commented on how great your content was? I could tell your channel was gonna blow up, and it did. Twenty-two thousand subs in two years is insane, bro. I took a break from this whole thing for a year. Just needed some time off, but it ended up being way longer than I thought. I used to look up to the big reviewers, but during my break, I realized I was trying to climb the same ladder they did. But I figured out there was no way I could reach that level and still be genuine and honest. I mean, I was spending like three days testing out a fragrance and another evening filming and editing the video. There was no way I could keep that up without stressing myself out and going into debt. So now I'm just chilling, enjoying my free time outside of work and doing the hobbies I love. Keep grinding, though, bro. And stay true to yourself with your content. That's what the community needs.

Take all the time you need, well I'm going to tell you something my friend, I have over 400 fragrances and to be honest I'm burned out too. The reason is , everytime I buy a new fragrance I either already have one just like it or one close to it. So I stopped buying for now also I'm not wearing hardly anything right now.. As someone that stopped posting for a bit, I sold my entire collection. I felt like everything I had I didn’t enjoy and I was running out of content ideas, I didn’t even make videos for a long time but after like 5 months there’s only so many top 10 videos and it feels like every other video is a first impression. After I sold my entire collection I decided to only buy the fragrances I wanted to and I just decided to knock fragrances houses I was interested in creed and Amouage so I only bought those fragrances that interested me from those houses. Now with a smaller collection I make videos when I want to and if I don’t have any video ideas I just don’t make a video. Something I learned is the people that support you never go anywhere, so don’t be afraid to post less frequently, I gained more subs in a less amount of time posting less talking about a fragrance I enjoy and not a random clone.

Interesting insight, I've thought about doing this for a while. My collection is cluttered with clones and cheap fragrances. I kinda just wanna get rid of all of them and focus on high end fragrances. There's definitely a repetitive nature with the content. It's just a nature of the niche. There's only so much you can talk about, and only be so creative with what we're given.

Thank you for your honesty. I've been trying to tell people about this. KZfaq makes so much money off advertising on your videos. You are constantly making content to stay in the algorhythm and you have no life anymore. Besides that, it will kill your passion. KZfaq is worse than having a 9-5 you don't like and in the end it's making youtube all the money and not you, the content creator.

Take care of yourself Nate and take as long as you need to get yourself right physically, and mentally. Frag comm will still be around, and I know myself personally I will still stick around and watch your videos even if they aren't as frequently uploaded. I'm fine with just the humorous lighthearted fragrance talk with jokes mixed in, like the early days of the channel. Doesn't always have to be impressions and reviews of new releases. I actually kind of like Prada Ocean le Parfum, it's an interesting Saffron spiced, Oak wood - Amber Extreme concoction that kind of smells like Leathery Woods. I want to try it out in the Fall weather; but I agree that it's not for everyone a lot of people will be turned away by that Amber Extreme note and also they shouldn't have named it Ocean. Naming it something like Luna Rossa Desert Sands, or Red Dune would have been more appropriate. Looking forward to the launch of Etanshi!

I'm certainly one for quality over quantity.👌 But I'm sure most of us feel that kinda way about fragrances once in a while. It's par for the course. Not just fragrances either. Our physiology changes when we constantly make concessions for the sake of illusory progress. As Baron Mordo said, "the bill...comes....DUE." 😄 You do you Nate. I think shat they do is make bideos that they will be posting ahead of time. (e.g. the video they post today had me made a week ago) or make videos in bulk that are easy to make. You should also try making first impressions and, unboxing.

The authenticity of these contents is hard to believe. Sometimes I just feel it is just for those affiliate. Sometimes I feel these clone recommendations are just misleading and getting out of hands. I try to not get fall into it anymore, and be more cautious about it.

I think quality over quantity is the right choice. We will still be here for you. I also was not impressed by Prada Luna Rossa Ocean. Both the sample and full bottle I tried were very soft with weak performance. Gone after a couple hours. I have the original and also Carbon and those are great. So I'm not a Prada hater. But I feel like this was a step backwards.

Not sure if you'll see this, but let me share something with you. I'm pretty new to this community, I started sampling last year, and really just dove in to buying full bottles this year. As I really started getting more interested in this world I obviously started following several of the frag youtubers to get ideas on what to sample. It got so overwhelming with the amounts of videos some of these people put out, that it got me thinking exactly what you mentioned....how do these guys have the time to properly try these fragrances that they recommend? They can't, it's not possible, regardless of whether this is their only job they dedicate time to. Therefore I started paying more attention to those who take their time and don't post a list every single day. All this to say that to some of us your suggestions are more welcomed than those heavy volume posters. Take care of yourself first, and whenever you do upload something I'll support. If spending big dough on new releases is what's holding you back, then simply use your existing fragrances to put together creative lists. I personally enjoy it way more, when reviewers praise fragrances I already own. It puts me in the mood for wearing them 😅 - and I got around 250 bottles to chose from (95% designers). All that aside, it's more about the reviewer's vibe and personality and how the video comes across, than about any one specific fragrance being featured or not. I LOVE watching you and Ross (TLTG) the most, bcs I just like the way you come across on screen. I like the way you talk, the way you edit your video and most of all your overall vibe, for lack of a better word 🤷‍♂️ Bottomline, do not stop making content! Hi nate, Thank you for this video. You are actually one of the content creators I looked up to when I tried to make my own channel. Man, the amount of work that goes into a videois insane, and then you get about 3 of 4 views, it is crazy. I am actually a bit shocked o the amount of money you made, I would have thought it would be a lot more, You tube should pay it's content creators more money. To make videos every day is to much. Even if you make 2 videos a week it is good. I tend to get a bit bored with the everyday videos . Even from my top content creators, I do not watch all of them, it is to much. 2 , max 3 a week is really enough. Please take it easy and be REAL. we want to see you, and not something that you think we want to see. I tried to be a version of all my favorite content creators and it was just wierd to look at. Ha ha, be good, be healthy and remember, we will keep on looking out for you , maybe with greater numbers if you make less but better content. greetings from Germany

Perhaps you haven't chosen the right people to look up to / compete with. I personally am familiar with all those names you mentioned, but I treat those (x fragrances list) videos as background noise while I eat or take a dump. On the other hand, I very much appreciate Justin Copeland and Daniel of SeldomlyOften for creating valuable content. Less is more, as the saying goes! If you haven't checked them yet, please do. Anyway, mental & physical health more important than anything else. Take your time, I hope you're back sooner, rather than later.

Good for you. Keep in mind that the Chaos (burned nose) , Gent Scents (Always looks dirty) , have gotten to the point that the material is repetitive and they have lost my respect. I just dont see it. Top 10 this and top ten that. Plus, I just dont see these guys wearing Adidas t Shirts and baseball caps being honest and believable By the end of the day, everyone should go to their local Macys or Sephora and try a bunch of different fragrances. A decent well rounded collection of 12 to 15 will take of anyone for the next 3 years.

Think outside the box. Do something different than others. You can talk about life and other things. I told one guy to do ASMR cos he had an amazing cool voice. Go out and do street tests, interview girls about things they think is important when it comes to men and dating. How to dress and the importance of smell. Make a list of great music bands. At the end it´s going to be boring to just watch reviewers doing those top ten lists year after year. A swedish reviewer did a street test with Creed Aventus and a 4 dollar Axe body spray. Axe got 9 votes. There are so many things to do with a little fantasy. There is nothing wrong to be fragile and show it to the people. The bigger you get companies will sure start sending free stuff more and more but til that day you have to be smart:) Fragrances is an expensive hobby.
