I filed divorce after 11 years of marriage with a non-verbal, autistic child, no job, and 100 dollars that my sister gave me to open a bank account. My dad paid for my divorce. It's been almost 4 years now. I'm in a very stable job that provides more than enough and every weekend off. My life is peaceful, stable, and happy. I never thought I would be happy in my adult life. About 18 months after the divorce, it was as if a cloud lifted and I finally knew what it was to be happy.

Some of these grown boys would actually make amazing salesmen by the way they be selling all these hopes and dreams. They’d all be rich if all that energy was channeled from a pure and honest place.

Single mother , happy . With my special needs child . Divorced the grown boy. I let the lord heal me. It took time but most of all I did it for my son . ❤️

I used to go running and all the while I was saying “I’m coming out of this.” I’d be lifting weights at the gym and saying “I’m coming out of this.” The more I said it, the stronger I became. I used to talk to God and say “I know this is not what you has in mind when created me. No sir.” Moved 700 miles away, got some self-love. Got my PhD and haven’t looked back. 13 years out!

The most powerful statement my mother told me when I was in a toxic relationship was, "he is not God's best." It was then that I realized that God doesn't operate in mess and that He wants to give us His best and that I am worthy and valuable in the eyes of God. I left that relationship and never went back and I am so thankful to God for His grace and protection of my body and renewing my mind. Ladies it can be done but like Tony said you can't be afraid to be single and wait on God for the right one. Who God has for you is for you.

Tony, I recently left a 10 year relationship. He just was never going to change and wouldn't leave the house that I bought. I ended up selling my house and cutting him off blocking him from everything. I feel at peace... No more arguing, no more verbal or mental abuse... No more hoping and waiting for things to get better. .. Although I am sad, I am ten times stronger, healthier, peaceful. I bought myself another house very close to a beautiful beach. I love the Lord and am ok with whatever happens relationshipwise meaning if God has a good man waiting for me or not. I have traveling plans and projects that I'm passionate about yet still to accomplish. He honestly treated me worse the second time around. I left him because he was emotionally and verbally abusive for a year. He claimed fixed so i moved back home to Tampa Bay, he is no different than he was and possibly worse than he was. 18 years of marriage down the toilet. Im not interested in the least way. Since March,, not 1 date, no help with anything and im disabled. It was all BS. He was scamming me to come back home. Id rather sit in the Michigan snow. I'm not ashamed to say I had toxic traits when I was previously married but the best decision I made was deciding to divorce my kids father and work on me. Tony it be feeling like your basically tellin my story sometimes 😂 this happened to me. I had moved on met someone else who treated me really good, once he saw that he came back begging and crying. I took him back and cut the other guy off.. we went to therapy (he only went to 3 sessions), he came to church with me, sat down with my daddy and friends told them he had changed. Said he wanted a family, I get pregnant, 3 weeks before my due date I kept getting little signs, I went through his iPad and BOOM 💥 found out he was still doing the same shit..he flipped it on me saying we wouldn’t have fallen out had I not went through his stuff..and told me he don’t want a woman who go through his stuff..our therapist later became my individual therapist. She told me he was a narcissist, I had no clue what that was back then. It can be hard to break but Gods gives us the gift of Life!!! Temporary pain trying to break free vs. a wasted life. Don’t waste Gods Gift of life on someone who doesn’t respect and love you the way you deserve!! Thank you Tony for your insight!! Everything you be saying is on point!! I have been completely single with my toddler for the better part of a year and healing every single day. Alot of the comments I see say "stay single" "I'm never dating again" etc etc but u really want to get to a place where u trust urself to uphold ur standards w whoever trys it. This healing is more about reclaiming ur VOICE i.e communicating ur assertiveness. Discerning what gets a red light when u used to give behaviors a green light. That's it don't be afraid. Get to a point where u trust urself. If ur not there yet u got a little more to go. But u r headed in the right direction ♥️

I don’t know about y’all, but I will just say NO to growing boy’s. Been there and NEVER again. They’ll make any kind of promise to get you back and act worse than they did before. My testimony-He put me out and I never went back. I too had a Mom that left and went back one time and got worst treatment. I am blessed as Tony said. Living better than I could have ever imagined.
