Adding those stupid wheels, body kit etc just reduces the value of a car. Original cond is always more desirable.

The real problem is, people who have an interest in these vehicles, don't want them when they've been buggered about with. 2k for the novelty value.

30 years old, re-painted, aftermarket wheels, shabby interior, high miles, it’s a twin turbo, possibly been driven very hard……..shall I continue? Most people are dreaming when it comes to their old cars value.

I asked that company about the offer for my rover 45 just for a laugh, it was a 2003 with 90k on the clock with lpg conversion from new, head gasket done - new tyres - new battery - new exhaust - nice body - nearly new tow bar - long MOT - heated seats - electric sunroof - etc, nice example to be fair original paint work with protection on top. They offered £100, for a car worth £350 scrap.

My volvo T5 was worth nothing (£1700) Its the 2.5 litre 6 speed manual so because its quite rare its worth much more. Only done 80k too😀

They only give you the value of the base vehicle. Fancy add ons don't count.
