The People's Court

The People's Court

3 ай бұрын

The plaintiff met the defendant while on a bus to a casino. He says the defendant asked him for money, but then she disappeared. He’s suing for the cost of the loan and interest. The defendant argues the plaintiff is interested in her romantically and he’s only suing because she rejected him.

Yep...She has no clue...How she thought that would have helped her is just amazing. She would have been better off just using the old...My phone broke. I have had cell phones since they were a common thing in the early 90s...Never...ever...has my cell phone broken. My wife and children have broken theirs but they are careless...I still have phones that are back from the Samsung 5 days...Only because they have been doing specials where you turn in an old phone and get a new phone for free...Usually the previous generation of the current phone but hey...It's a huge upgrade from the Samsung Galaxy 5.

This looks like a chance for the Judge to use her husband's classic response, "I wouldn't trust you if your tongue came notarized." The defendant seems incapable of speaking the truth, almost to the point where she believes that if she says something, it becomes the truth. She says the proof is on her phone, but there's not a word about her claim, so she then says, well, that was on my old phone. So why did she originally claim she had the proof? Or was she trying to pull a Jedi mind trick?

Wow, that's A LOT of interest! I've seen cases thrown of other shows for charging such a high amount. Guess it depends on their usury laws...

He couldn't have sued for more than 2 times the loan so I think what judge did was accept that additional amount as punitive damages.

I was going to say the same thing that Harvey ended off with. The Plaintiff should've sued for punitive damages as well. The Defendant is a professional scammer.😤😤🐌🐌🚓🚓🚓🚓

He said he didn’t know she was going to accuse him of the “prostitution” thing until he heard the opening as she walked in! That’s why he was laughing at the beginning. He didn’t know to sue her for punitive damages because she just came up with it! Luckily, he got that big “late fee” at least.

So many times when someone doesn’t win they say it’s because the judge didn’t listen to everything they had to say. I feel like the majority of the time this judge does listen to everything.
