What exactly are kings as of today? Currently I would rank them behind Vegas, oilers and canucks. Yes there are few nice pieces like Fiala, Byfield, Kempe, and Moore. Are the prospects Iike Thomas, Turcotte and Clarke ready nhl material? With kopitar and doughty not getting any younger what exactly is the direction and identity of this team. Currently I see LA middle of the league team. With no true #1 goalie and Roy possibly leaving, I see kings even more weaker than they were this past year. I know it's an off-season and possible deals and signings are still to come but with the cap issues kings have, I don't see too much changing here. Are the kings stuck in the middle of nowhere at this point?

Would you take Marner, Liljegren, Robertson (and another pick or prospect) for Doughty, Kopitar (40% retained) You get younger (which fits your window) get a star to sell tickets with a couple promising players We get a 2 vets that fit needs

@alchemical.fitness Sounds good to me. I was willing to trade Doughty like years ago when he had value. Instead they gave him crazy contract. For 10 years kings held on to some pieces yet haven't accomplished anything. Time for change

Frankly, the bottomline, I can’t stomach watching a no heart, no energy, no desire hockey player like PLD. Watching him in the ice was so hard on the eyes. PLD was a total bust slouch. Blake needs to get real and put on the ice real gritty and tough hombre hockey players that entertain the fans and audience. There is nothing worse than watching a MIA hockey player who doesn’t put out effort. Dump PLD!

I guess there is something in Valencia affecting people's brains and preventing them from thinking in any rational way. Drew Doughty is going nowhere. He deserves every bit of his contract even considering he was underpaid for years. The only 2nd line PLD should be is in the AHL. Let that foo earn his way. Daneult is still the better player. If he only has 40 points on the season, he is still keeping the puck out of his own net while all of you PLD lovers completely ignore his dreadful defense and complete lack of hustle or energy. There was one game in the playoffs where he showed some fight a couple of shifts and everyone was raving about it but it only showed what he could and should have been doing all season. For shame to anuyone who defends that guy. Anyone who does is a total blockhead. That is all.

@@Vdoom777 seem to be okay by yourself. I am just looking at credibility here. Drew Doughty led the entire NHL in time on ice. Scored the 2nd highest amount of goals in his hall of fame career but you think he's going nowhere. Danault scored a whole 7 points more than PLD while playing considerably more power play minutes and was used as the number 2 option in all critical situations and was the 2nd line center with the Kings leading goal scorer on his line all season...again....only 7 points more. 47 points for our 2nd line center, and 40 points for our 3rd line center who had 100 less power play minutes than the previous season and no critical situations usage. You were wrong about Byfield....and you are wrong about DD and PLD...😉

@dominickefrim3088 ya boy was on the top PP unit for like the 1st two months and did nothing with it. And, I see you can't tell when somebody is being sarcastic, so I will put it to you in normal terms. I have never EVER said Byfield was a bust. I've actually told people who called him a bust that they were foolish. The only thing I have ever said is that I wanted the Kings to draft Stutzle, and I still believe Stutzle is the better choice. Now then, keep making up your skewed facts and figures. I'm going to sleep now.
