Seems like a misunderstanding. I can understand Thai and he was telling the cop or the other motorbike guy that he agreed it was 150 baht per person. When you guys were negotiating the price, he gestured 1 per person with his finger for 150 baht. In his mind, he was agreeing to 300 baht for two, in your mind, you were agreeing to 150 baht for two lol. The communication wasn’t clear enough.

think cristian thailand is the same as bali. in Bali 1 motorbike with two people still counts as 1 person..in Thailand 1 motorbike for 1 person,for 2 people you have to pay double

I saw a lot in other vloger videos that in Thailand the prices could not match from the beginning of the negotiation and again they asked for more than the reasonable price even though it was for tourists

when you deal with the motorbike taxi, you need to be careful .... cuz they think you are rich (they mean 150baht/ person. you should plan everything in details & in order & in advance... not hop on hop off cuz you might miss the train) try to always use metro or BTS without motorbike if possible. hope you enjoy your time here

This is remind me about my husband, when my husband took the first train from Bangkok to Chiang Mai, he was so excited, about 1 hour train ride, he asked me, are we arrived ?lol We spent 15 hours on the train, when we reached Chiang Mai he said can we go back to Bangkok by plane? lol😅😂

As I’ve traveled a bit myself it seems like the guy was just arguing about an extra 150bht. It’s only $4 bucks for doing a 45 minute ride for taking 2 people. I wouldn’t have argued with the guy and got the cop involved. If the guy is arguing for $4 extra dollars he’s probably needing it a lot more than you for sure. It’s not cool to argue with a guy for $4 bucks then proceed to drop $15-$25 per drink afterwards.

In this case I think it was a misunderstanding but I do agree with you. So many times during travels I have known that I am paying more but I accepted to do so knowing how fortunate I am that I can earn good money in my country and how little money it was for me. I do expect honesty and tend to not like dishonest people but I also understand how hard some people work for nearly nothing! In Guatemala Uber is dirt cheap. I got a 30 min ride to the airport and the driver charged me $6. I gave him $40 because that is what it was worth for me!

150thb is more than a fair price for one person going from terminal 21 to lebua. the normal motorbike taxi price is around 30THB for 1km and the distance you went is almost 10km, so it should be 300thb for one person already. he could have charged 600thb for 2 persons, but he wanted only 300thb, which is what he told you at the start. motorbiketaxi rides are always for one person, not for two. it doesn´t matter if 3 person drive on one motorbiketaxi or 3 person take each one motorbiketaxi. u pay the same price in total. you ripped those guys off...

Appreciate your breakdown but grab was 85 baht. Anyways the price is not the reason we had an issue. It was due to the use of deception and excessive physicality by the driver which was not filmed

But it does not make sense, if the price for 2 is double i would always take 2 separate bikes. And drivers would lose business this way (better make discounts for 2nd person)

@@basedpatriotLT yes, you can take 2 separate bikes. you pay per person not per motorbike. it´s like that in bangkok and behind the motorbiketaxi stands there are also price sheets. it´s because there are many motorbike taxis working there and they wait in a row for customers. normally each person takes one motorbiketaxi, even when you are 2 persons. but normal taxis and tuk tuks charge per verhicle, don´t matter how many people drive inside. only motorbiketaxis charge per customer.
