Yep that’s right, we leave our beloved home on wheels at a campsite in Marrakesh and jump aboard Morocco’s bullet train up north to the seaside city of Tangier.
We also have family visiting from London and Madrid to spend a few days with us and rent a gorgeous traditional riad right in the centre of the Kasbah to explore the city from.

In my opinion, Tangiers is the best city in Morocco. I love everything about it ! The greenery, the hills, the weather, the peacefulness, cleanliness. Just huge fan of the less hot and less touristy northern Morocco ❤ And it hasn’t always been like this. Tangier made a lot of progress within the past two decades !

I'm in Tangier! And I'm taking this train journey in reverse in March! Thanks for the insight on what I should expect. (I'm an American who's been slow traveling the past five years and am spending a month and a half in Morocco.)

Nice trip again guys. If your heading South you should keep an eye on the weather forecast. Its snowing in some parts and there could be some heavy Rain. Often the roads get blocked sometimes due to landslides or mud if you go more inland. Be safe and keep us updated with your vlogs! Have a nice stay!

We’ve been watching the weather keenly and we decided we’re gonna wait here until were 100% sure it’s safe to head south. That weather is no joke! We’ve heard about landslides, multiple feet of snow and more 😅 We really hope we can make it further south but if it’s not possible we just won’t go. Thanks for sharing this lovely video. The Al Boraq train is such an experience.Tangier has probably the most spectacular and scenic views among Moroccan cities. Remember Morocco is a cold country with a hot sun. It does get cold when the sun is not out! Hope to see you visiting Chefchaouen sometime. Keep exploring!

Thanks for watching! We really enjoyed the al boraq, especially because we’d never been on a high speed train. We couldn’t believe just how smooth a ride it was. That’s an amazing way to describe the climate here, love it! We’re definitely going to try and make it to Chefchouan in a couple of weeks when we come back up north in the van, can’t wait 😀❤️

Tetouan is about 50 miles from Tangier. It has a UNESCO protected medina.

Considering there were 9 of us it was amazing value! And a really beautiful place too. It was so lovely to meet up with family on our travels and we’ve already started planning to do it again next year, such a special experience. We’ve really fallen for Morocco, you’re right! Hi Sarah & James, even your baby is used to nomadic life, I guess you suffered a lot the modern life 🤣🤣🤣🤣 The Riad is absolutaly beautifull, the quality of the service is best in my opinion. The train from Marakech to Casablanca is slow than the other line Casabalnca-Tangier, there are ongoing studies to rely Marakech with high speed trains to Tangier. Tangier is a beautifull city, the north of Morocco is beautifull. Enjoy your time in Morocco. Greetings from France.

1:48 oh thank god hahahaha, when you hopped inside that regular train i was like "what in the world were they talking about" hahahaha Btw there's another kind of trains in Morocco where the style of the interior is similar to the bullet train (no cabins, 2 floors, tables on the seats...) and it's slightly faster than the regular one you used, it's made for people traveling for work. And as for the camera, they always assume that you're a journalist hahahaha that's why they always require an authorization to film, it's very commun in Morocco.

Haha, yeah a few people have said similar 😅 We knew that the al boraq was the second half of the journey but we weren’t sure what the first train was going to be like so waited until we got on to explain that it wasn’t the bullet train. That’s interesting about the other type of train too, don’t think we saw one of those. That camera thing makes sense too 👍❤️

I hope you can visit st Andrew's church in Tangier which has got a Moroccan style ,also head to cap spartel to see where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic. Enjoy your trip:good luck.👍

Been in Tangier in December..years ago .. really Damp and Grey...lots of coughing and chest infections...it was horrible..as no heating indoors 🪴🪴..

The old city in Morocco is Fes and Marakech, more than 1200 years of history in Morocco. I recommand to visit Fes and Ifra using the Van and go to Khnifra, in the anti-Atlas mountains, and you should at least see the desert and have a night in the camp in Merzouga, the southern east of Morocco.
