Hi Jay Bee, thanks for watching. I'm not one to run from negative comments, and I think it would be unfair to only reply to the positive comments. If it's a troll then I normally don't bother as it's not worth it. I can see where you're coming from in regards to the angles, but unfortunately these launches are very fast paced, meaning time to set up/set down filming equipment is very limited. Because of this, I literally had a matter of seconds to get the GoPros attached, as we were a little behind schedule and there were people that needed to go after me.

I was referring to the angles shown at 2:50 and 3:17, but yeah if you had to rush things I understand.

God knows Adam, it's not the first time it's happened, and I'm sure it won't be the last, pal! It's probably because people don't like me, my personality, my presenting style or it could just be the video production, a certain song I've used - who knows! I've said to KZfaq time and time again that viewers should be required to leave some anonymous feedback as to why they gave a thumbs down, that way creators are able to work on a common complaint they may be receiving...But hey, that would make too much sense!

Also, for what it's worth, I know one KZfaqr that has people actively go out their way to do a 'thumbs down' on every video they do. That's just one of the downsides of KZfaq. Thanks for watching mate 👍🏽

Also, I missed your statement about whether this footage was intended for release. It would have been originally, as I was planning to do more talking whilst I was filming, but because the instructor was quite keen for me to focus on what I was doing, I didn't. Therefore I used a smaller amount in my actual First Drive video as I didn't add as much value as I wanted.

@@CarObsession I'll be honest with you Aaron I've disliked video's "not yours" for what I feel is a good reason, certain youtubers, wealthy ones who use clickbate titles to get you to watch it, have hundreds of thousands of subscribers and views and stick a camera in a lambo or something and drive around London talking crap and churning out rubbish and they earn lots of youtube money for it where as someone like yourself who puts a lot of time and effort into a videos and probably makes little or no money from it gets slammed, i'd say to these people go out and do a youtube video and see if you can do better?!. Anyway keep up the good work Arron :-)

Honestly Adam, I earn nothing from this, although some people in the past have assumed I make a fair wedge from it and critiqued me for it. I've never earnt money from this and to be honest I've never had that as a main priority for this channel - I do it for the passion and to try and give honest, impartial reviews to help people make an informed decision when buying a car. Don't get me wrong, I would like to earn money from the channel in the future but I'm in no rush to 👍Also, I hate clickbait and I've unsubscribed from KZfaqrs that do it as it gives people like me a bad name.

Hi Samuel, thanks for watching. I reckon it's probably because they are just being cautious in case the cars get damaged (they haven't got many of these on their fleet because production is limited), plus it could also be down to insurance and the fact that the people attending the event are likely to have limited off-road experience, like me. Also, the cars were on road tyres as opposed to proper knobbly off-road tyres, so perhaps that could have been a factor? Mind you, the Jimny is still very capable with its standard tyres.

@@CarObsession I have been eagerly awaiting the new Jimny, if it had been available to order 2 months ago i'd be driving one for the next three years! I have a 2018 Swift and it's great. But I need something bigger and due to the length of time of to wait for production, I ended up buying a Seat Ateca instead. The new Jimny is an absolute masterpiece of design and engineering! The only thing I'm disappointed with is the lack of adaptive cruise control, considering it already has AEB available and my Swift has it as standard.

The Ateca certainly isn't a bad compromise!

@@CarObsession I get the vehicle on motability so the price difference doesn't matter. However, I'd still have to wait for the new Jimny to be added to the motability car list, that could be a few months after it goes on sale anyway. So it made sense to go for the Ateca and as its the top spec it's crammed with the kit I'd want. Great reviews by the way 👍🏻

Yes, I won't lie, I am far from a seasoned off-roader, I live in Greater London where are version of off-road is a slightly muddy car park 😂 However, dispute it or not, the route here is still off-road and for what it's worth, I did not choose this course, it was the one provided by Suzuki.
