Today we are making a Moroccan staple dish called Taktouka. It is a cooked salad with tomatoes and roasted green peppers! This recipe is so flavorful and carries the colors of the Holidays: green and red! One more appetizer to wow your family and friends during this holiday season.

I didn't know that putting the peppers in a bowl covered helps with removing the skin! Thank you so much!

I normally roast my peppers under the grill in the oven so that they are 'done', and just put them in a plastic bag to steam them.. Looks a lot like" zaalouk'..except for the pepper...Yummy full of vitamins, I even put fresh lemon juice on it!

You should have submerged the skewers in water for at least 2 hrs to prevent the skewers from catching on fire. =) Great dish!

@meisje122 Ive seen ladies in Morocco use coals on an electric stove to do it, which is rate to be honest as gas is the most common.
