We start our Tale of Four Gamers mini-campaign with the smallest, quickest game we could find - Warhammer Underworlds! In this video, we'll lay out the parameters for the event and reveal our warbands.

Regarding Underworlds, I was surprised to find out that, as a Nighthaunt collector, I already had a warband - Drepur's Wraithcreepers. While I have already assembled and painted a force, I'm still to play them right now. Time to schedule some matches. :)

Very excited to see these handsome lads and lady return so quickly! Though I hope some day you might invite Snipe and Wib to partake in something as well should the opportunity ever be convenient. :) Oh, also, please introduce us to more of these side-games! They're pretty fascinating.

Oh, I hadn't heard about this Rivals format, that sounds like the sort of thing that would let me actually get a game in as all the new releases were passing me by.

Sounds like loads of fun among a group of thoroughly lovely people! Stoked for the paintjobs. Also, I'm already poised to start my own Heresy foray as a "playalong" as soon as your To4G starts off for that.

Underworlds is my jam. I was hesitant about Rivals to begin with, but it's been doing great things to recapture interest in people, and I've actually really enjoyed Rivals+

Love to see our favorite, and most featured, game getting screentime one of my favorite channels! Although I would argue that the game shines way more, and I would venture to say, is more balanced, in championship than in rivals or any variation thereof. I'm happy to see the game get more screentime though regardless of format 😌 And no, the cards that come with the pirate are not "pretty good". They are quite horrible out of the box and badly need to be supplemented with the essential card pack to do decent in rivals+. the vamps are pretty good without alterations though !

Excellent, underworlds! Incidentally, not sure if you're familiar with "Dice Cup" in Nottingham City centre? I'd highly recommend it as there's loads of tables, cheap, has lovely staff and vegan food (including milkshakes). A friend and I have been playing underworlds there recently so it immediately sprang to mind. Anywho, keep up the work Mr Ian!

I played underworlds for four seasons. Got all the warbands and almost all of them are painted. I didn't get Harrowdeep because the price of the game in Australia is ridiculous.

Great idea. I've only played three, four games with one friend (Beastgrave era), and found it very, very funny. But new additions/seasons to the game just went way too fast for me... I'd really like to try it again, in a very casual way.

This is totally cool. I always thought the game and warbands were nice small projects and some of the views about the game you all expressed just stopped me from trying it out. I have decided to play Blitz Bowl for the variation with painting and playing different teams. So hopefully captured some of the same aims. So really looking forward to hearing how you all do and enjoy the game.

I also played with Shadespire and as soon as the competitive deck building element came out and it didn’t interest me, it’s a great game and the new formats seem more friendly

Do I buy the starter set, or Harrowdeep set?

Either! Harrowdeep has fancier models and extra cards, in case you wanna do deckbuilding and play competitive. The Starter Set is just the cards for the two teams in the box, which are both standard Stormcast and Ghosts you see everywhere. Both of them function as a starter set, and give you the dice, tokens, boards etc
