This is a major comeback for the guy who played the character of the brother he’s part of a very famous Kdrama called “boys over flowers” which was a huge hit and the first drama for many people who started to watch k dramas

What a first episode! I watched this over 3 years ago so I kinda forgot how brilliant it was. All the plot twists, blindsiding and action were all such great intros to the concept/characters. It really keeps you on your toes. She may be basically surrounded by ruthless, cunning foxes, but Jia is just as cunning and clever. I love how she's not a completely naive main character as this is common in fantasy media. Also, he did save her but he said if she doesn't forget it then he'll kill her himself. So it makes sense why she's not scared and does risky things in everyday life. Because the person who saved her could technically also kill her at any time.

13:52 it doesn't translate it in the subtitles but the significance of the word "yeo-u" (여우) is that it means fox in Korean. So the car crashed and the parents died in a place called "Fox Hill" (Yeou Gogae)

I love this drama, I wish I could experience it for the first time again like I did in 2020. Idk why but it just hits all the right spots lol, as someone who loves fantasy. I love the action and cinematography/scenery and the drama's visual aesthetic in general. Also the character conflict/development between the brothers in the first few episodes, I love how it was done. For me it's the perfect mix of mysterious fantasy with some horror and comedy mixed in. I've been meaning to rewatch it though, so might as well watch with you guys 😃

"I thought you guys said this was a fun drama" "I'm not having fun guys" It is fun/funny! But there are some scary parts, like a fantasy-horror type thing. I kinda forgot how horror-y the beginning was. I mean I remember how it literal started with a car crash, but I kinda forgot the creepy uncanny fake parents thing right after.

hope you finish watching this series, I definitely think you'd enjoy season 2 more as it is more humorous as well as Dong-Wooks other show Bad and Crazy which isn't romance focused so is more action and comedy :) tale of the nine tailed and bad and crazy are def a series you have to pay attention to while watching otherwise you miss some key details. all the love

Idk if it's the wording or I'm just confused but-" It seems like you guys are watching it somewhere online (I watched on Netflix) and sometimes dramas online can have slightly different/confusing subtitles. I think if a drama is uploaded online then basically anyone can add the subs, so there may be some interpretation differences (which can exist between people depending on how they translate certain words) or stuff may get lost-in-translation
