"DELIVERANCE"
The Last Chancers Series is a series of novels written by Gavin Thorpe featuring the Imperial Guard 13th Penal Legion, or Last Chancers under the command of Colonel Schaeffer. In 2006, the three novels were published in an omnibus edition, titled "The Last Chancers", along with the short stories Liberty and Deliverance.
A little background for you:
Members of the Last Chancers are all convicted criminals facing various punishments. While most of those inducted into the 13th Penal Legion are done so at the deliberate behest of Colonel Schaeffer, a small minority are random transfers. All are given one 'last chance' at redemption by fighting in the worst combat zones possible. If they manage to survive an unspecified number of these missions, which is highly unlikely given the nature of the operations they undertake, they earn a pardon, being forgiven their crimes in the eyes of the Emperor. A Last Chancer who dies fulfilling his duty is pardoned posthumously by the Colonel, who takes it upon himself to provide redemption to all of his troops, sometimes by his own hand. Schaeffer's dedication to his cause is unparalleled and he has never failed a mission with his Last Chancers.

Man, something about Field Test gets me every time. The way Neal Litherland describes the carnage is just so visceral, and paints such a clear mental image of the destruction. And of course Vox's delivery is fantastic.

I wish you did more video's that don't focus on space marines, you are great with any story in the 40k universe, I wish you had more stories involving Xeno's like your various Ork and Tyranid stories. Your Sister of Battle story was possibly your best as I could very vividly imagine the scenes in that story. Even your story that focused on traitor guardsmen and the feral Lamenter who caught the black urge was interesting because the Space marines were not the primary character. Not saying you don't do Space marines well, you very much do, but majority of your video's are from a Space marine's perspective and there are great stories in 40k that deserve your amazing voice acting and atmospheric background sounds to really bring those stories to life. it would be cool to hear a story involving Tau, Eldar, or Necrons?

The Last Chancers omnibus was my first book of Warhammer 40k ever, and Deloverance was my first ever story for Warhammer 40k. To this day I still love this story
