@@thatword7074 Pellaeon shouldn't serve Thrawn at this point. According to the book Thrawn: Treason, Thrawn met Pellaeon for the first time a few hours before the Rebels season 4 finale. Pellaeon served under grand admiral Savit. Savit went rogue and Thrawn decided to destroy him. (That's one of the reasons why Thrawn disappeared for the half of the Rebels season 4). Thrawn won the battle thanks to Pellaeon who decided to join him seeing how corrupted Savit has become. After the battle Thrawn told his 2nd in command Commodore Faro that she has been promoted and should go to Coruscant to meet her new crew. When she left, Thrawn was told that Rebels attacked Lothal (Rebels season 4 finale), since Pallaeon's boss turned out to be a traitor, he decided to help Thrawn again and they both went on Lothal. And we know how it ended. Faro was a really likeable character but now I don't even know if she exists in the canon because of this episode. Filoni retconing again. 🤡

I was shocked we got to see Rukh here. Bet her versatility with a spear may have inspired him to change weapons. And realising that was Cpt. Pellaeon took me longer than it should have. When his back was turned, I thought he was Yularen. Though I never thought, Morgan would be the one who came up with the Defender.

it annoying honestly, in legends he lied about his age to join the republics navy and fight in the clone wars, and was not old and Grey till about 15 years after battle of endor

Not really. Thrawn didn't make the Defender in legends, and honestly smart as he is Thrawn was never really a shipwright so...him not making the Defender makes sense. Seeing the potential of it though? Absolutely.

@@joshrobins130 I agree. Thrawn not coming up with the TIE Defender doesn’t diminish him or his intelligence. Having it be Elsbeth who came up with the design was a very good way of establishing more of a relationship between her and Thrawn and their shared interests leading to the future. Thrawn seeing the potential of the defenders is very much in character.

He didn't in Legends, either. It was Admiral Zaarin, the creator of the Tie Avenger, who created the Tie Defender. Thrawn created the limited production Cygnus Missle Boat as a counter.

This show is just mish mash of characters (many of them already dead) from previous media, holy Filoni cant write a shit without relying on past and fanservice, predictable plot with no purpose but to make money from people who dont realize how bad of a writer he turned out to be lately, open your eyes, this is all so lazy, ANDOR S2 is the last hope for future of sw.

@@masteryoghurt2110 Maybe they were already collaborating in secret, to counter the incompetency in the Empire? I also read the novel and I don't remember any lines that said they never met before, actually, Thrawn says that he knows that Pellaeon is completely loyal, but to the Empire, not Savit himself, which could imply that he knows him personally (tbh I'm just trying to find a reason to not absolutely despise Filoni for his constant retconning of great SW media at this point)

@@imperatorscipioafricanus Ok, I see your point. But why it couldn't be Faro? It would be just easier to put her there instead of Pellaeon. But of course more people know him. I have a feeling that Filoni is completely ignoring 6 canon Thrawn books and is trying to make his own interpretation of the old Thrawn trilogy.But why? There are literally 6 CANON books. Thrawn has already been in Ahsoka, Rebels and Tales of the Empire and Eli Vanto hasn't been even mentioned and he is by far the most important character connected to Thrawn in the new canon. There wasn't any space for Eli but there was space for the completely new character arc of Thrawn and Morgan?

@@masteryoghurt2110 now, this is a question even I can't come up with a logical answer to. And, as a fellow enjoyer of those 6 canon Thrawn books, I completely know what you feel. I don't have any problems with Morgan Elsbeth and Pellaeon (actually, I see why we needed her to bring back Thrawn and not some other guy), although I do agree that we should see Eli, Faro and more people from those books in other media as well. Let's hope I'm right and Filoni is taking these books into account when he's doing his thing

Fun Fact: Gillad Pellaon in the legends he was mainly responsible for making Ahsoka change from that neckline she wore during seasons 1 and 2, because in his vision that type of clothing of hers didn't It was part of the military aesthetic, so that's why he wore more normal clothes without his belly being exposed.

Thrawn is cool. Also, Imperial-class flying with Venator, showing how the Empires arsenal is improvement over Republic, is something a lot needed. 0 22 🤯🤯🤯🤯 That is where TIE D idea comes from? Didn't see this coming. 1 56 Rukh? 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯 Didn't see him coming either.

What Thrawn says at the 2:45 mark in conjuction with what he also says between 3:03 and 3:09 provides a valuable insight into his own vision of the Empire (i.e. a planned economy) - one that is undoubtedly unpopular even among high-ranking Imperials - and I hope the producers of this show develop this further.

Was there a reason as of why Rebels animation was cheaper while we’re getting more Clone Wars style animation now? Was it because they screwed the creators over or did they expect it to fail?

It made me wish that if Rebels had gotten the same budget as The Bad Batch and Tales of the Empire, the Star Destroyers, Thrawn, and everything else would have looked better. It was Disney that gave Dave Filoni a lower budget for Rebels, and it looked worse due to the art style, which was meant to resemble Ralph McQuarrie's concept art for the Original Trilogy.

If I remember correctly, Rebel has a much lower budget. The 2nd issue is that to compensate this (and to make the show more kid friendly), he decide to adopt the Ralph Mcquarie art style. The problem is that fans don't like it, and considering the Bad Batch and Clone Wars season 7 have fairly high rating, Disney probably spares some expense in

@@masteryoghurt2110vin those I'm pretty sure Pallaeon was in another grand admirals fleet but Thrawn proved the other guy was a traitor so Pallaeon ended up in Thrawn's fleet, however this occurred when Thrawn was a grand admiral so the timelines don't fit

I liked the episodes, but I think we should have seen more of her childhood, her youth and how she comes to the empire and became magistrat and more of her working with people. I think to the beginn she truly wanted to help the people and make them a better life. Remember she was batayed from them first and as some one tried to kill her they did nothing.

I think the difference to Thrawn’s Clone Wars Animation design and his Rebels design is that his Rebels design has a large head and bigger forehead.

Some venators were used as supplements in systems deemed low risk. Often as fill ins for ISDs, there aren't a TON left like during the early days of the empire. But there are enough to serve for anti-piracy and patrol duties in the outer rim.

To think Thrawn would take Morgan's TIE-Fighter design and saw the merits to the point of putting the project to action creating the TIE-Defender. Shame the project ended up thrown into the dump thanks to Rebel action in Lothal and Thrawn's disappearance. Leading to no contest to the funds and effort being diverted to the Death Star's construction.

Another Reply. Is there someone that lives in the Star Wars universe that under the occupation of the galactic Empire. All those people or species, Needs to understand that the Empire is not your friend. The galactic empire, does not simply care about alien rights (quite opposite to human rights) & these people believed that Morgan was going to bring the gray change to their village/their planet by like I said never trust or think that the galactic empire will be your friend.

Gonna be blunt, Disney just doesn't understand how to write anymore... Ship designers, engineers, etc. aren't usually giving the sales pitch for their product, they typically need a sales/advertising person for that. What kind of nonsense is that to paint the people of the planet/village so badly to justify her ultimate betrayal. What kind logic is that to "test" the loyalty by trying to "bubble" them, a more character consistent test would have been Thrawn pretending to be a rebel agent wanting to buy the plans or something similar.

Should just rename this GIRL POWER. its all women. Starwars is all women. I dont hate women but its annoying that a show like bad batch that should have been about the clones was about omega. The last season of clone wars was about asoka and the stupid martez sisters. Its agervating. The ending of bad batch was such a dissapointment. They lead us on about the assassin then they kill him with no explanation yet we got to see omega climb a ladder for 3 mins.

Did you forget about Andor, Bad Batch and the Mandolorian? Those shows had male leads. The Mandolorian in particular returned to the old Star Wars theme about the bond between fathers and sons, whether blood related or adopted. Same goes for Dooku's story in Tales of the Jedi. About how much he loved Qui Gon as a son and what led him to become a Sith. And the upcoming skeleton crew show will also have a male lead. Is your masculinity so frail that you can't stand to see women as the main character for even a few Star Wars shows?

Andor had a male lead, Bad Batch had mostly male characters, Mandolorian had 2 male leads (foster father and son), and the upcoming skeleton crew show also will have a male lead. Star Wars has always had male leads. Yet your masculinity gets shaken because women are getting the spotlight.
