I was hoping Darth Vader would kill Bariss on sight after what she did to Ahsoka. But it makes sense that he didn’t. Thats something Anakin would do. And to Vader, Anakin Skywalker is dead.

2:16 I really like how Barriss changes fighting styles. First, the classic Soresu - the most defensive. Her fighting style she learned from Luminara. Then Makashi - She refined her style, wanting to gain the initiative in the duel and provoke opponent so to defend herself more. Then Ataru - the only thing missing was the use of a reverse grip. The position and movements are identical to Ahsoka's. Finally, the Force push, something that fits very well with what Barriss demonstrated in season 5 and additionally in the comic where she defeated Ahsoka during the training.

The reverse grip was a shien technique and i think the second for she used might have been Djem-so (similar focus on gaining initiative as makashi while still having defensive blade work) but otherwise spot on analysis

@@jacksexton7321 Regarding the reverse grip, that's what I meant. Barriss showed Ataru but was very close to showing Ahsoka's Shien. I wouldn't say it's Djem So. Djem So is a form of Form V that inherently relies on what I would call passive attack and physical strength. Additionally, Djem So users particularly believed that Soresu was too passive a form. That doesn't sound like something Barriss would want to learn. I know she is nerd and probably knows everything, but it doesn't seem like a form she would prefer. In season 5, Barriss in a duel with Ahsoka and Anakin represented Makashi. Light, fast, and precise cuts that sometimes led to gaining initiative and even opportunities to end the duel.

I wonder what Barriss was doing after she became Inquisitor while Fourth Sister was in “Obi-Wan Kenobi”.

I think the implication is that "Obi-Wan Kenobi" took place between episode 5 and episode 6 of "Tales of the Empire" (after Barriss Offee defected from the Inquisitorius but before the Fourth Sister encountered her as a healer while hunting for force-sensitive children). I suspect that it did not take more than a year or two at most for Barriss to become disillusioned with the Empire after being inducted into the Inquisitors shortly after Order 66, despite initially convincing herself that she could make a positive impact on the Galaxy serving the Empire.

Tbh I can't get wht the kept Barris alive. If she's «not a jedi anymore» then the same argument should've worked for Ahsoka, since she also left the Order. Since all clones received the Order 66 they should've shot her on spot just as they've tried to do with Maul. Whether she is or not a current member of the Jedi Order, she still keeps her jedi powers. And as we've seen once the chip is activated clones can't be reasoned with. If they see a jedi - they shoot a jedi. No matter if they are or were a jedi before upd: Also it's strange that Vader hasn't killed her right away, since she was the one who got Ahsoka almost killed. I doubt revengeful side of him wouldn't want to get a small revenge on her the same way he did with Fox

Ahsoka had a special case in which Palpatine deemed that she must be killed so no redemption is possible for Darth Vader

When you are joining the inquisitors, you are forced to kill the friends you know, to embrace the dark side of the force. Barriss however, have still good in her after order 66.

Why can’t the inquisitors have normal red lightsabers and have cloaks? I know they not Sith but they look better.

The inquisitor light saber are supposedly more advantageous,the habe griveous spinning and can fly while also allowing them to fight like normal lightsaber. The cloaks,idk , most likely a design choice to look intimidating
