The Texas Rangers were broadcasted in Germany in the late 50's and early 60's. This series was the absolute favourite of me and my friends. Everyone wanted to be like Jace and Clay. The world was still okay in these days...

Jace's partner Clay was played by actor Harry Lauter, who usually played a bad guy in many TV westerns back in the day. Also, he played gangsters and other unsavory characters mostly and I was happy to see that he was a good guy in this series. Saturday mornings, Mighty Mouse, Fury, Ruff and Reddy, Heckle and Jeckle, and Sealtest Super Circus at noon. Then, The Lone Ranger a bit later. Good times.

This was a great show. I like the entrance where Jace Pearson is walking alone and then joined by his partner and the other Texas Rangers. The ending is just as cool with the Rangers walking off leaving just Jace Pearson.

Same for me and I always remembered that These Texas Rangers wore 2 white handle'd six shooters which was very impressionable for a 7 to 9 year old.

Just watching Willard Parker's face filling the screen and then hearing the title song brings back a lot of childhood memories when I used to watch this in Melbourne Australia as a six year old boy in 1956. I just want to know what happened to the last 60 years. They've gone by so quickly.

As a five or six year old I would have my single action six strapped high on my hip with white cowboy hat and vest, and march up and down my grandparents great room just like Jace with that song playing on their Rca Victor turntable stereo. At those moments, I WAS a Texas Ranger! You can ask my grandpa.

Hello. Nice! I can imagine myself rewriting the lyrics for the MLB that was previously the Washington Senators but renamed after the Texas Ranger Division. Without the "Tales of the Texas Rangers," we wouldn't have "Lone Wolf McQuade" or "Walker."🤠

My younger brother absolutely loved this show. When he was in grade 1 our carpenter father happened to be on the news in a story about the building industry, my brother went to school the next day and for show and tell he proudly told the other children that his daddy was a "big time daddy Texas ranger" and his teacher promptly told him that he was a liar and to tell the truth. He came home from school very upset and my mother had to go down and put the teacher in her place. I remember the incident as clear as if it were yesterday. Some teachers can have positive lifelong effects on children's lives and some can also do much damage, as apparently my brother was not allowed to have an imagination!

Nice enjoyable series. The intro and ending walk scenes were filmed from both ends of the western street seen at Corriganville movie ranch in Santa Susanna, California. Due to fires in around 1970's all that remains of Silvertown are cement foundations.

I was on a call with Officer Fred Kelly. It was late as I recall and involved an upset guy armed with a long gun. He had ran out of the house with the firearm into the alley behind his house. We knew which direction he took. Now lots of officers liked to drive around shining spot lights. I was a Walker. You know a stroll is healthy and the quiet of a night is pleasant. An armed guy is festive. Anyway I took off and Fred was with me. Now tactics are something that is taught over years. The correct way is to walk on each side of the alley. This keeps the city from having to hire more than one person if it is a shooting scrape. It also lets everyone fire at the threat if it shows up. So this was in the cowboy days. Most of us carried revolvers in swivel holsters. Lt Birdsong did not care what revolver we carried as long as it was a colt or smith that didn’t require a nose wheel to drag the barrel. Fred found a model 19 smith with a seven inch barrel or so. So being extra careful we were walking right down the middle of the alley. I said to Fred.. “this reminds me of Tales of the Texas rangers.” “I was just thinking the same thing!” We realized that we were insane and split to each side of the alley..
