I hear you. Definitely not picking this game up until it drops in price. Money speaks in the consumer market, and withholding money is the only way we can punish them for this sad excuse of DLC and the hyping marketing for it. Will pick it up later though - the core game that is.

+Misty Eel That's the OVA, what I was talking about was the anime that was announced at the same time as Tales of Berseria.

A similar thing happened in Breath of Fire 4 with Yuna who is perhaps one of the most evil characters i have ever come across in any rpg. We beat the final boss and everything seems at peace in the world until the end where we see Yuna still roaming free.

Like Sorey and Rose, she too had resonance. But unlike Sorey and Rose, Alisha didn't have a high aptitude of resonance within her, and because of that, she couldn't armatize. You could say she was feeding off of Sorey's resonance which was giving him side-effects. Since making the pact with Alisha, Sorey was losing his sight because Alisha didn't have a strong resonance to withstand on her own. And so, Sorey had to end the pact with Alisha so he could keep his sight.

The annoying thing is that the game was a disaster in almost all facets, but the story was better than Xillia (the first one at least), and Graces (ignoring the fact that the so-called Age of Chaos began less than twenty years prior the the start of the game. The music was also better than the last two games. If they plan on making a sequel, the best thing they could do would be to fall back on the combat system from Graces, which was flawed, but passable.

Jonathan Herman mmm I liked xillias story more than zestiria but a lot of the beginning aspects in zestiria were quickly thrown away. I honestly thought they continued the choice system from xillia 2.

+Jonathan Herman IMO, the story was the worst one yet out of all the tales I played. The music was the only thing going for it but it probably was only because of the tiamat boss battle which I wonder if was even in the jpn version.

+Jonathan Herman It's better than xillia's story and casts. Haven't played 2 yet, but heard good thing about it. I loved the music in this game, remind so much of symphonia, my favorite tales of series. The only thing i dislike about this game is the battle system. Graces' worked great, have a blast with it but not zestiria's.

It is, the only good thing about it is you get better weapons.

And you get to play as Alisha.

+SuperSonic2155 maybe if they make a second part to zestiria, it will be better, it seems you're overthinking and hopping to things too soon alisha is a very important character and i doubt she'd be leaving forever, i mean it's not like she's dead/killed off thatd be way worse and i'd to be honest hate it myself i never really played Xillia, but i seen so much of it that i wish i could play it. it's really really awesome ) right now though i cannot but yeah this game(Zestiria) is supposed to have different endings, all i'm assuming are cliffhangers that leave this game filled with many untold/unsolved things for each character,(Cliffhangers really irritate me and make me sad) anyways i understand where you're coming from, and i'm sorry you lost all that money with your experience, BUT let's just say if they DO make it and you're unsure about it just wait it out until it is released and people start playing and posting it, follow it from there and see if it becomes better for you to trust, and Alisha returns etc (i got far into the game but not too Far im some parts after Hyland/ that tree village to even say anything further/opinions )

SuperSonic2155 Bersieria that is all It is basically a soft reboot in terms of gameplay, but while different it's fun also the charicters are some of the best in the franchise my personal favorite being Eizen and also Velvet blows Milla out of the water as a badass female protagonist only thing that bothers me is it has a similar ending to this meaning they're definitely setting up a sequel to this game like it or not but if that means we get more of Velvet then I don't mind
