Today, we bought our first-ever bottle of this whisky. Having had Jura 10 and Springbank 10, we find Talisker 10 much to our liking! This is very well-made whisky and surprisingly sweet and orangey. If anyone out there is in doubt, prepare for T 10 by trying Jura 10 or Springbank 10.

Wade - great review. Thank you! I am pretty new to whisky and most of the whisky's I've tried and enjoyed are the more sherry, floral, Spreyside styles. I see most the the You-Tube 'experts and experienced' whisky folk tend to gravitate to the peaty / smoky whiskies. Well today I took the plunge and tried the Talisker 10. I'm so happy I did. Smoky nose without being off-putting, superb on the palette, rich, oily, complex, full of subtle flavours of the coast and spice - but no smoke on the palette. Finishing with smoke and warmth from the spice notes and a hint of orange peel. I am sold! I will continue my journey into the dark side of peat and smoke - but gently so. My next treat will be to try the Classic Laddie! Loving the journey so far...

I don't like Talsiker quite as much as I like the Islays, but it's got a rugged feel that's great for a cold damp day.

Talisker was the real gateway into my whiskey journey. You described it just how I remember the experience at the time. It was balanced, complex, and had more intensity than any other single malt I had tried. However, I think it's way overpriced now for what you get, and I've moved on. If I find it at a good price, I'll give it another try. My oldest friend gifted me the 18yr to celebrate the birth of my daughter (Can't believe it was almost 5 years ago!), and I was able to do a side by side with the ten on my first father's day. The 18 was in another league but with many of the same flavors and notes of the 10. Still, at the price, I'll be waiting for another gift rather than buying it myself! There are others out there for better prices. Great job on the channel! I found you through Roy on the Aquavitae live stream rebroadcast. I'll be checking out more of your videos, and I won't even write a book like this on any of them!You deserve a bunch more subscribers. Keep up the great work, and cheers from the east coast USA!

Talisker 10 is always so enjoyable! It doesn’t have the smoke that I normally go for in a scotch but it’s absolutely wonderful in flavours - wood, Smokey, pepper, ash! I love it. This is meant to have on its own and that’s respect for a scotch! I’d like a bit more punch but this is very pleasing! Great review!

just imagine how oily and thick it would be if they´d stop chill filter it. To me its a shadow of what it could be, 10 years, worm tubs, unchillfiltered, nat. colour. this would be amazing (and better casks). I am quite dissapointed in the Talisker 10, compared to many others its quite thin and boring to me. But you have a great channel and great quality videos :D
