And what's really peculiar is at the time this was considered New age pop lol Believe it or not early '80s this was actually way ahead of its time anything that was synthesized or driven with Simmons drums or a programmed drum track was way way ahead of its time we were just coming out of '70s soul Zeppelin and some of the earliest 1980s and mid to late '70s rock and roll artists so this was actually called Progressive and New Wave at that time

....the creativity of todays music is stand still of musical noise. It goes with the age. Musicians today are uninspired, deterred for fame, glory, money..etc. There's no catapult for wanting to create on larger scale. The 70's/80's generation was a rush of genius creativity. It was music for the people, by the people creating a collective experience. As we can see. when we look back. The further we move away. The more its appreciated. As for myself, more I miss.

Talk about pouring your heart into a performance... I purchased the original vinyl in 1984 and I was blown away by this song. 40 years later I discovered this performance and am blown away even more. This song grabs you and won't let go. A musical masterpiece- Mark was a legend and will be missed. PS- A sad commentary on how far music has declined over the decades.

Everybody that ever met Mark Hollis says what a great guy he was, and what an absolute genius. Bought the 7" of the first (eponymous) Talk Talk single as soon as it came out and always loved them; the emotion in this version is incredible. RIP Mark.

I remember going to sleep to these songs when i was 9-10 yrs old. My older brother would set his boom box on a timer. Miss those days.
