Truly gutted I didn’t ever see them live. Lived on my parent’s vinyl copy of Natural History for years and only in the last 10 years investigated their back catalogue...big mistake not looking sooner.

Never heard this song 'til last night after hearing of Hollis's passing (dammit) - when I listened to the studio version at least 4-5 times - but I think this transcends that. The energy in this live performance is just awesome.

What's ironic about this is the lack of Tim Friese-Greene on stage. Tim was the producer, co-keyboardist and often co-songwriter on their songs/recordings including Give it Up. He was never part of their live band. He was offered to become an official band member by Mark, but turned it down not wanting to confine himself to just one band project. Either way his role in the end results were deeply involved.
