Listening and watching this today the first day of 2024. I'm 54 and reviving the days and music of Talk Talk I enjoyed during the 80s. Marks voice is sublime! Very much a fan from here in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Mark Hollis, the personification of vocal sincerity, genuinely a once in a lifetime talent. He was so underrated and under appreciated but will be greatly missed.

I was 16 when the 80s dawned, so it as the era of my youth. As time goes on I become more convinced that it was the best and most diverse musical era. The original commenter is right. Mark Hollis was so talented, yet totally under rated.

I agree 100 percent.. I ended up on their greatest hits.. and almost missed Tomorrow Started.. because I didn't listen to the end.. a true masterpiece.. as all Mark Hollis songs are.... he is probably the most under-rated 80s singers.. plus the bands drums and bass.. long live Talk Talk!!

I recall, our first introduction to those guys was "It's my life", then I got the LP album and listened to it none stop every day for a while. I even DJed and played it whenever people didn't ask for anything specific, because it was so good and so brilliant. Great music is timeless and amazing.

I was watching tv when this video came on in 1981. I could not believe what I was hearing. It was instant amazement and who was this band. Talk Talk. The Party's Over clearly one of the best albums ever. I'm so sad Mark is no longer with us. Thanks Mark Hollis RIP

His influence will always live on.Just look at this list of artists who remembered him after his untimely death in 2019... Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, The The, Steven Wilson, Alexis Taylor, Andy Kim, Charlotte Church, Flea, Roland Orzabal, Robin Pecknold, Peter Gabriel, Ryley Walker, Peter Hammill, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, Marc Almond, Elijah Wood, Kirin J Callinan, Chris Baio and Broken Social Scene. Says it all.

One of the songs that weirdly hardly ever features on 80s compilation albums or 80s themed radio stations etc.. I suppose it helps to keep this amazing track feeling fresh whenever I do chance upon it.

There was a period in the 80s when bands in Britain made some extraordinary music, bands like talk talk ,the cure ,joy division, human league , the smiths we really didn't know how good this period was for British music . Just brilliant.

Is we speak in terms of TODAY'S MUSIC, this song is a very strong song to sing exactly the same way. It's a special song, with a lot of depth.

I listen to and listen to this otherworldly music, watch and watch these mesmerizing videos for over a year, and still love them like the first time. It's amazing, nothing like this has ever happened to me. Mark and his music are part of me, I will always thank the day when this meeting was possible. After Talk Talk, only Talk Talk ♡

I fell in love with Talk Talk from the very first time it came on at a disco like beach bar on a Greek island in 1984. I never looked back. Their music has carried me through the decades.

I was working at a record store in Detroit when this came out and was immediatley in Love with Mark and Talk Talk.Danced many a nite to this at underground clubs in Detroit.

I started listening to Talk Talk after a month and didn't know he already died. I was quite sad about it but not so much because he lives in his songs and music videos. I just thank him for all this creation he left behind. I've never meet a man like him and I'm sure I would not.

My first encounter with this band was in support to Duran Duran. The song Talk Talk caught my ear. I don't remember why but the single came out and I bought it that summer. That got me hooked. I so wanted them to do well as I truly loved their sound. I saw them on their first headlining tour after the success of this single. A near empty Dominion theatre in London where they played a lot of new material only to rework the whole lot. The transformation was quite vast from the synth driven moods this new material had. The song Renee was a classic example. Me and my nephew were lucky enough to get Mark Hollis and Lee Harris to sign our program which I still have. My next encounter with TT was at Hammersmith in 86. A radically different band from the 1982 version. I wasn't sure what to make of it all as I so loved their synth moods. I've followed them from before they had a record deal which is amazing when I think about it. I still love them 40 years on and will always love them. They were my soundtrack to that summer of 1982. It seems such a long time ago.

Mark looks SO good here, the color of his eyes and hair going with the brown jacket and an amber filtered light. Great vid, thanks so much for posting. I only wish there was more of drummer Lee Harris as I always thought he was a hottie, maybe still is, can't find any recent pic's.
