Carr Lane, 'Carr' a piece of land next to a river prone to flooding, pronunciation is 'care' 'kaer lane' in Old Norse, Ings is also land prone to flooding but its usually associated with low lying land but Ings can be high up in the wolds so its hard to know.

I’m not sure why the video cut short as they were explaining ‘wang’ but it’s a perfectly good word for ‘throw’. It’s popularity rocketed when welly wanging competitions started later than you might think, in the 1970s in the West Country but then rapidly declined because idiots thought it sounded like ‘wank’ and ‘whang’. I know a person from Staffordshire and one from Oxfordshire that still say it though, so it’s not really a Yorkshire term.
