Labour ‘Has Hidden Their Agenda!’ | Starmer Offers To Meet JK Rowling Over Women’s Rights

People changing gender must be treated with “respect and dignity”, Sir Keir Starmer has said as he was challenged on his party’s plans to reform the process.
The Labour leader said single-sex spaces “must be protected” and “we mustn’t go down the route of self-identification” when asked about the issue on The Sun’s Never Mind The Ballots show on Monday evening.
Labour’s position has also been criticised by author JK Rowling, who accused the party of having “abandoned” women.
Speaking at The Sun’s event, Sir Keir said he respected Rowling’s view and would be happy to meet her to discuss the issue.

Not always a good idea...PR in NZ means we have unelected people in government who got in on the party vote who do not represent any electorates. Small parties join up to form governments ...it can be messy....we have no say in the List MPs for each party only the electorate MPs candidates are known to the electorates. Two votes, one for your local MP..and a second vote called the Party vote and List MPs get in depending upon the % of the party vote each party gets so voting is strategic most of the time..

People on the 'left' of politics seem to be able to get away with a lot more than people on the 'right''. I know the Tories aren't conservatives, but the double standard in the treatment of the parties by the media is appalling.

The fact that Keir Starmer didn’t even speak to Rosie Duffield for 2 1/2 years says it all. What leader does not speak to and rally his troops. REFORM cares about women, REFORM cares about women’s rights. Nigel Farage is a strong leader and one who will look out for his party members and the people they represent.
