JK Rowling has slammed transgender support group Mermaids for 'total, shameless lies' and said its 'fingerprints are all over the catastrophe of child transition'.
The Harry Potter author criticised comments made by the group's chief executive Lauren Stoner yesterday that it does not advocate for any medical pathway.
Responding to a video of the Sky News interview, Rowling tweeted: 'Absolute, total, shameless lies. Your ex-CEO referred children to the Tavistock gender clinic.
TalkTV's Kevin O'Sullivan and Alex Phillips are joined by Standing for Women’s Kellie-Jay Kean who says doctors “knew what they were doing” when they prescribed ‘irreversible’ transitioning drugs to children.

@jujutrini8412 KJK runs and holds events called "Let Women Speak."" She holds them normally in Hyde Park in London in all weathers but has held events across the country and across the world. She held the event in Edinburgh (challenging the new h@te speech laws in Scotland) last week in which I attended to show support. Kellie Jay Keen and the many women who attend and speak have faced a lots of abuse, threats by trans activists, etc, and they are constantly trying to drown them out when they speak and intimidate and harrass them. But it does not stop them. It's actually really inspiring. From her site "At Let Women Speak we foster a community in which all women feel empowered to speak. We achieve this through our free speech events, and they are free to attend. " It's an open mic event where women are invited to say what they want to say. And they do. Respect! I've probably not explained it very well. The events are streamed live on Y T for anyone interested and who can not attend. She held one today. Prob best to check it out to get a better idea of what I'm trying to describe.

As a girl I was embarrassed to play with Barbie dolls due to their massive breasts! And clothes so tight the message was it's great to have boobs (cause men love them) and it's best to be anorexic and to wear super tight clothes cause that's cool. I preferred rag dolls and normal/healthy representations of girl babies and dolls. Despite the Barbie brand influence, I knew my own gender and what it meant to be healthy, thank goodness. JKR has added weight to it from afar HJ has also been instrumental in a different way...but Kellie-Jay is at the coalface day in day out.. every minute of every day.
