It's also a big difference between A League and World Cup. He did well. He also did well jumping into the J Lleague, then again up into the Scottish League.... people have very short memories of him doing well when jumping up into higher League. He's won them all at club level when he chose to stay. This time, he has better players, that match the higher level. People assume lower levels are easy, until you realise you only have that level of player to work with. He's nor winning those League with Celtic player equivalents. Getting better players at every jump. It would be stupid to bet against him now.

Celtic bhoy here’. Like I’ve mentioned before Postecoglou will demand the players to be sharper , fitter , faster , to fit into his system , he doesn’t take any passengers in his team , the man is a winner and hates losing the ball never mind games , spurs players are going to get a reality check, cause his system demands high pressing , interchangeable passing & movement at speed and purpose with the ball passed with precision and clinical finishing in the final third for 90 minutes continuously attacking , he can change formations like a switch and the players will be well drilled what he expects of them , and they better not let him down , they would like a rant off big Ange , he’ll turn spurs into a different beast that the opposition are going to be very wary of , and the ones that doubt him , are gonna be shocked just how good the man is , not only is he a brilliant tactician, he’s brilliant at identifying the players to fit into his systems instantly !!!

Its not so much about the gap between Scottish and English leagues, that's only about money. Its the fact that anyone managing Celtic over the last 10 years, winning the League and most of the domestic trophies, is not the sign of a great manager, its the absolute minimum that should be expected from any decent manager, because the gap between Celtic and everyone else, is so big. To an extent the same is true about Rangers, and Gerard didn't need to be a brilliant manager to win the league, he just needed to do a good job, and Celtic to have a bad season. Surely guys like McInnes who gave Aberdeen a consistent 2nd place until Rangers reascended, and Steve Clarke who made Kille the best of the rest, are better managers than Postecoglou, Rodgers and Gerard, and Martin O;Neil for that matter, who just did what was expected given the gulf in budgets between them and the domestic opposition.

If conte or the special one cany get a tone out of theae players then what chance does ange have this is solely down to Daniel levy and his ways and i aint even a spurs fan but you can see from a mile away that they need to sell half that squad and start again fresh kind of the way that arsenal and man u had to realise and i know it might be a rough few seasons ahead with trying to introduce new players at the same time but its better than getting half way through a season and then the plug is pulled and your left wondering what might have been......?????

I’m I the only person who finds it strange that at the beginning of the year spurs announced the pre season summer tour will be in Australia, then spurs hire a new chief football officer, Scott Munn, who is Australian, then they hire a new manger who is Australian. Almost like levy just wants to gain as much as he can from the Australia trip, financially and commercially. Then in 4 months when spurs are 12th he can fire them all and start planning the next big money spin.

The tour is to western Australia,a big desert with ThURD rate team to play(9th in Aleague). If Spurs wanted competitive games then the East coast is the place to come.Ange bought Celtic here in WC break and did poorly against a couple of poor teams.Perth isnt a big market for the Spurs kit, only 2 million live there. The 2 cities in the East have a combined Pop of 12 million, its the place for a tour.

Ange, like Gerrard, got lucky. The other half of the Old Firm underperformed when they were there. However unlike Gerrard Ange was poor in Europe. Be surprised if hes still in a job in January.

Before Gerrard left rangers to try test himself in the toughest league in the world everyone was taking about him as if he was the new messiah/Liverpools eventual klopp successor! Due to his record in the Scottish prem. We all know the rest. You simply cannot compare the two leagues at all.

@@davidbeeson9408 Well David, brentford only had to score one goal in their 15 draws to relegate Spurs to 9th this last season.Thats pretty close to mid table and IF you think this new manager is a superman, just wait for his results.Ive been watching the manager from when he played in NSL( a partner timers league in Australia) and through his coaching journey. He has failed in every high level competion hes been in.The mickeyMouse trophies in low level leagues mean nothing(apart from bringing him to Spurs).Hes been a Fat frog in a small pond, now he has to swim with the sharks...lol

@@palaneproductions7357 Yeah, I totally agree with what you’re saying, however, I reckon this manager is a damn sight better than the NO Manager we spent the last 3 months of last season with. Let’s face it, once Conte was not replaced (& we were 4th when he went) the squad was on the beach. Literally drifting to oblivion. And I get it, “Well, if the owners don’t care why should we ?”. Also, having a fully fit Son back is a bonus, as well as Bissouma fit, firing & motivated. And with Bentancur still to come back, those two were badly missed last season btw, the new signings & one game per week with a full week to prepare for that game first time in 15 years, I tend to think we could surprise a few people.

Ange isn't afraid to lose... he's got enough currency in the bank to handle it. But that's where the other managers have faltered in managing Spurs. They started to play pragmatic.. forget it. He's in the Jurgen Klopp style of manager where his teams gravitate upwards. Btw he's been managing against Madrid since early 2000s in the old intertoto cup. He oozes substance.

Janet Findlay sounds petty. Brendan brought huge success to Celtic first time around and given that prior to that he'd almost won the Premiership with Liverpool before being unceremoniously sacked, he was probably desperate to go back down there at a different club to show them they'd made a mistake in getting rid of him. He'll be much more content now! He went to Leicester achieved success in winning the FA Cup for the first time in their history and qualifying twice for Europe. The Premiership won't tempt him quite as readily this time around, so he'll either be content to stay longer term at Celtic but I suspect his next challenge will be somewhere abroad after at least three years with Celtic. Martin, brilliant as always, straight talker. As for Ange at Tottenham, I suspect even he, will struggle!
