Why I want to learn korean: -I love the culture -I wanna understand dramas without any subtitles -I wanna visit korea one day -I wanna understand korean songs more -And I just wanna learn a new language

I like how everyone wants to learn because of kdrama or kpop or to visit Korea…. And me over here only wanting to learn because I woke up from a nap one day and the first thought I had was “I should learn Korean” so i did 💀

Why I want to learn Korean -I like learning new stuff everyday -I want to extend my knowledge and vocabulary - I want to listen or watch k drama's/k pop without subtitles or English dubs -I love travelling, and travelling without difficulties with language barrier is a heavenly experience.

I Want to close my eyes and feel K-pop song with their lyrics.

I love how every comment is related to bts- but I’m learning because I like their culture and I want to travel there.

I watch K dramas with subtitles. I got to love your country.

I've been married to a Korean for 25 years having met her while stationed in Korea in the Army. I spent a year in Korea in 1994 and a year in 1998. We are going to visit Korea next month for the first time since we left in 1999. I know Hangul a little but don't understand what the words mean. I want to learn more phrases and sentences, at this point since I am already 61 years old and my wife speaks English well.

I want to tell myself I'm studying when I'm still watching k-dramas until 3 o'clock in the morning

I began learning Korean back in 2013 with TTMIK. I've been studying for 8 years, and I now live in Busan, working on TV, translating Korean Dramas to English, and as a radio host at a Korean Radio station. I literally owe my entire life to TTMIK. Everyone, never give up on your studies. Thank you TTMIK for everything you've done for me and so many others.

Our son is teaching in Busan and we are going to visit him in September. Learning the basics to start. Hopefully impressed him when we see him.

My reason why i'm learning korean. -I want to atudy college in Korea. -I want to work in korea as a doctor. -Watch k-drama without any subtitles. -Talk to koreans without speaking English.

I want to go back to Korea. I was there for five months mostly in Seoul via my church missions program. I loved my experience as a 24/25 year old. Now I'm 40, and I miss it.

I first learned about Hangul and how it is featural and found it to be a wonderful and amazing writing system, especially how words are broken down into syllable blocks. Then I heard some Korean spoken and thought it was the most beautiful language I've ever heard. Both of these reasons made me want to learn the language properly and to make it my second language. I am very interested in linguistics and wish I had grown up learning Korean.

I just really love the way the language sounds. It's between French and Korean, but hangul is such a pretty writing system that the practicality of learning French is being overriden😂

I am planning on going abroad for a semester in South Korea so I want to learn the language, not just for the trip but also to acquire another language. I am not yet bilingual but I hope to make learning languages part of my lifestyle. With this opportunity I want to take advantage of how I can develop my Korean while in the country for so long.

Find a course / book you enjoy to start - Learn conjugation rules to form basic sentences Tips - Learn a new grammar point or new phrase per day - Keep enjoy korean media (music, movies, shows, ..) - Practice as much as possible (always prononce out loud)

I am not kpop fan at all, I am not kdramas fan. The reason I am learning korean is: I have loved a person who was korean, she has a beautiful smile and before she left my life I promised I would go to Korea, meet her, and learn korean. I have no other reason and its not necessary other reason, I am focused and determined, no matter what I will make it.

I am hoping to go to Korea towards the end of the year to see my idols and tour around. I was there once before but couldn’t learn much of the language beforehand.

This will pave the way for me to my business life.

Honestly, I had a girlfriend who was Korean and spoke English very well. We would still hit the occasional language barriers, but she was one of the sweetest people I have ever met. She had to move back and unfortunately we couldn't continue our relationship. While we were dating she told me stories and showed me pictures of South Korea and everything about the country seems incredible. I am only just starting to learn the language and we will probably never see each other again, but I know that one day when I visit Korea I want to be able to show the same love and respect she showed me. l watch a lot of Korean movies so learning will be helpful to enjoy more of it.
