I love how perfectly pure and natural it is, and how safe it is for their skin. You can use it for a skin moisturizer and a diaper cream. For babies, I usually stick with unscented that does not contain any essential oils. :)

Hi, I am Black and just started using a diy cream of homemade tallow and mango butter with a few essential oils. My oily skin absorbs the cream. I am going to use tallow cream for a oil cleanse. So far so good.

Thank you for your reply Marissa, that study just shows that "grass fed beef" has more "vitamin E and A precursors" It doesn't specifically mention that Beef Tallow contains vitamin A, vitamin K or vitamin B12 like you claim on your site (and many other bloggers do) but none of them link to any official sources as to where they learned this. All I can find is a study on reindeer saying that the tallow from them has vitamin B12 but that it has no vitamin D!!! I will get to bottom of this eventually but it really seems to me that people are making false claims about beef tallow containing vitamin A and K because I would expect it to be easier to find official sources and not just bloggers saying whatever they want without linking to source to back it up.

You never find anything on Google. Use Brave or other unsensored search engins. I quit google maby moons ago coz it never gives you any info on healthy living.

Thank you so much! I haven't had access to bison tallow yet, but from the research I've done, tallow from grass fed bison (I think they're typically 100% grass fed) is very similar to beef tallow. I think you could pretty much interchange them. Hope that helps!

Tallow is amazing for so many skin conditions - I would think it would help!

I kept a large batch of tallow in the fridge for about a year. I take out what I need for a few weeks and put it in a smaller mason jar with a lid. I had used avocado oil as we don't use olive oil (most are cut with terrible seed oils) and found that the avocado oil smelled weird after the tallow balm was at room temperature for a month. I don't add any essential oils as they can be estrogenic.

I haven't tried it, but you could! I just use less so that it isn't greasy :)

Yes! Many people say that tallow balm helps tremendously with eczema. I'm so glad he's looking at how he's eating; that is so important when dealing with skin conditions. Yes, I think you could use the lip balm on hands. I've never tried it, but I think it would work okay.

I haven't heard of tallow powder before, I'll have to look into it! My first thought is that it sounds a bit too processed to be very healthy. But I'll have to do some research :)

@@BumblebeeApothecary hey well its not powder but gelatin and its okay but i think im just going to save that for soups and when I'm roasting something and i put it in my cats food but i did try the tallow and i like that better as a lotion and hair oil the only thing i have to try now is cooking with it

I'd give tallow balm a try! It's AMAZING

You probably didn't do anything wrong, but it sounds like you have soft trim fat. You can still use it for cooking, balm, soap making, etc. but it will be too soft for candles.
