Ingredients:
2 pieces Chinese eggplant
6 ounces ground pork
3/4 cup bread crumbs
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 piece onion, minced
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 piece egg
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 1/2 cups cooking oil
4 cups water (for boiling)

May ganitong recipe si Mama. What she does differently is grill (ihaw) the eggplants over fire, like what you do for torta. She uses a mixture of ground pork and beef. At dahil inihaw, it leaves a smoky flavor!
