The color is ocean blue. I bought a kit like this new back in 1995 out of the catalog

yep...that is ocean blue...I also got a kit in Ocean Blue as well in late 1994.......heres the Tama catalog from 1994,...and you will see Ocean Blue in the 'Rockstar' series on page 5 - www.hoshinogakki.co.jp/pdf/tama/catalog/1994EU.pdf

snare drum sounds like caucasian doli - high deaf sound instead of dense rock sound of Tama drums
