Tamagotchi: Honto no Hanashi (NO COLOUR)

Available on the internet for the first time is Tamagotchi: Honto no Hanashi (Tamagotchi: The True Story たまごっちホントのはなし), the first Tamagotchi cartoon ever made. It is a 9-minute short film detailing the story of why Tamagotchis came to Earth--because Oyajitchi got the planet drunk, and the planet started singing and dancing. The Tamagotchis had to flee, and are now studied and cared for on Earth by Professor Banzo and Mikachu.
Due to region coding issues, this film is in black and white when it is supposed to be in color. I will work to find a solution so that you can view the film in full color, but I am uploading this for those who do not wish to wait (and just in case I am unable to produce a color copy).

This is so wonderful, and surprisingly well animated, considering the style. I really hope that one day a clean upload of the color version can surface.

I like that they are just mildly annoyed at having to ditch their home planet. Makes me think that this happens a lot

Even in the vintage era, Tamagotchi has shown that it can lend itself very well to animation.

He's actually a alcoholic, but the creators of the movie didn't want to confirm that since this is meant to be for kids.

@@RubyChocoCookie yeah that's why they called it Vacation juice. They did something similar with that Oyajitchi digimon and Wizardmon in the digimon anime too. Kinda funny how censorship works

I'm flabbergasted that it finally turned up at last, even if both copies aren't perfect! By the way, that camrip of the portion I saw around 2007 was the 5:24-6:38 point.

When you provide a high quality rip in colour, do you think you could provide subtitles for it? Just use the built-in caption feature and not burnt-in.

@@Gilby1385 Sorry for the late reply! I might have to buy a VHS to DVD recorder to get a color copy! I understand Japanese well enough, so sure, I will be able to add captions if I am able to do that ^^

初代たまごっちは、感性や行動が人間離れした得体の知れない正真正銘の地球外生命体で、つーしん期、2期以降のたまごっちは、地球生命体であることに変わりはないが地球(ジ・アース)に住む人間と同じような感性などを持つ、人間チックな地球外生命体だからだと思います。

I think the technical issue arises from the recording and TV not using the same video standard, NTSC or PAL.
