Depends on your requirement. If you get PSU jobs, that settles your life. For PSU jobs, you will need high GATE score compared to NIT-Trichy.

Glad you are preparing pa. Aama, youtube mostly Hindi thaan iruku.. Once you start preparing, if possible put Tamil videos too on your channel. It's better to take online coaching otherwise: you can take from ACE institute or EECI (Chennai). Ithellame, based on reviews thaan. I don't have any contact with them.

Yes. You can write GATE with distant education MSc also. To my knowledge most IITs give you MTech in CS, It's better to check IIT MTech admission notification to be clear

In IIT Madras average fees will be around 20000 per semester.. Hostel fees will be extra.. but it varies depends on colleges.. some NITs, I have seen charging more for 1st sem around 40000..

Yes, mostly PSUs ask for ME paper. You can choose both. When you are thorough with Production paper, you can score high in Mech paper also. And that will keep options open for IITs also

Opportunities iruku but less. If your interest is CS/IT/AIDS go ahead. If you skill yourself, you will get good placements from most colleges. GATE can help you get to IITs also. Opportunities are there across world for you. Let's continue the legacy of Sundar Pichai and Satya Nadella.

Aama pa.. there is no mark criteria for admission. Only GATE score is used for merit.

Hi, yes you can join in any IIM in their fellowship programs. Fellowship programs are equivalent to PhD. Please note, not for their MBA programs. Regarding GATE score, you can apply with any GATE score, they will check your research willingness to give you admission. It's better to have a higher GATE score. Future is in your hands, no one will ask your 12th marks after this, your performance in college will determine your future. Start to work hard from today! Some IITs fix UG marks also as criteria. If you are still in third year, try to raise it to above 6 atleast. It will help to sit in placements also

Yes, for MTech IIST uses GATE score! If you have score of around 500/1000, you will get in first round itself i think. In round 2 and 3, it may go even down.

Thank you so much for this heartwarming comment. I am not sure. There are limited information about this. As per info I read earlier, they teach in English - so you need IELTS or TOEFL. I Couldn't verify it though.

I don't think there is part-time MTech options in IITs and NITs. I assume that you are a Mech or Civil graduate. Then, you can write GATE, if you get design course in good IIT or even Anna University (which has good reputation for design courses), you can decide to study full-time. Otherwise, you can continue with the company, gain experience and move to better companies. Design has good scope, good that you are already having experience.

Exam neenga 3rd year la attempt panalam. There is time. You can start with General aptitude and Maths preparation in first year. College-la subjects nalla clarity-oda padinga. Get good marks and in parallel GATE prepare panunga. All the best for a successful career

Yes! You are eligible for GATE exam. Just check the purpose of pursuing GATE, if its for a PSU, an MTech or a PhD. If its for PSU's you may have to check the age criteria for recruitment. For MTech & PhD, no limits

Yes, very much. Do write GATE exam and get a good score. You will surely get MTech seat in an IIT. That will really help you for a good career. As you have already completed final year, if you can start working in parallel to the preparation, that will help you to get experience of 1 year before joining MTech as well.

There are PSUs under Department of Biotechnology like The Bharat Immunology and Biological Corporeation, The Indian Vaccine Corporation (IVCOL) and The Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council(BIRAC). Bhabha Atomic Research Center (BARC) also takes Biotech students.

GATE kandipa prepare panalam. Regarding doing direct PhD and Mtech there is no issues. For PSUs, most of them ask for CSE or IT as eligibility. I am not sure, if they are considering CSB also. Will enquire and tell you. However, CSB is good branch when it comes to private companies, as you learn business management aspects. Get skilled highly and have good understanding in subject. GATE will help you in that as well.

For subjects, better to start with the book you studied for college, instead of trying new books. You can also buy books, solved papers published by coaching institutes like ACE, Madeeasy etc.

Glad that you took this initiative to ask. You would need Engineering degree to write GATE. However, you can directly write exams for diploma level opportunities of PSUs. Please follow Employment Newspaper or atleast some youtube channels which provide summary of employment news every week.

You can take BM paper, additionally EC or DA based on your priority. Biomedical is a niche field, so Masters panina nalla opportunities irukum. You can get into good medical manufacturing companies.

No. It won't affect any of your opportunities. Study well and improve your percentage consistently in Engineering and get good score in GATE or any other exam. Sky is your limit.

Yes. You can apply for PhD in IIT / NIT / IIIT directly when they call for. You will get stipend of Rs.37000. Prepare well on research methodologies for the interview. Pls visit their websites

Kandipa eluthalam. ECE is one of the core subjects. and almost all PSUs take ECE students. And if you get PG in IITs, nothing like it. You will get into good positions in semiconductor or other areas you choose.

Score is valid for three years. For all PG admissions and for most of MNCs, score in third year is enough. However, sometimes few PSUs ask for GATE score from that calendar year. Hence, it's better that you write in 4th year as well. Try to improve the rank and it will be useful to get into any PSUs.

To get into NIT Trichy and other famous NITs, you need to write NIMCET exam. I think application is called for around march or April *(Pls Check). Its better to write GATE after MCA. You will be able to do MTech only after completing MCA. I would say, getting MCA from NIT Trichy itself will be good. Lot of people doesnt know about NIMCET, so pls try. All the best

There is a paper for Textile engineering. However options in PSUs are limited. To get into higher studies you can write GATE. Also, areas like Geo textiles and luxury fashion brands are growing in India. So do focus on developing skills and you will be able to grow in career.

Civil engineering has opportunities in almost all PSUs. Look for recent engineering vacancies notifications of NTPC, BHEL etc online. Will soon make a video on PSUs and positions available. Start preparing, it will help you a lot

It may vary with every NIT. For eg. NIT Trichy tuition fees is Rs.35000 per semester. But in first semester, you will have one time extra fees for various facilities which makes it to Rs.92000 for first semester. There is also variation with respect to categories. My professor used to say that Industrial Engineering is like an MBA in Operations Management, just without the fancy MBA tag. You will just enjoy IE, if you are interested in improving processes, quality of products and planning the whole workflow. You will get a bird's eye view of how whole engineering systems and world business functions. Regarding scope, it has scope in each and every manufacturing industry (be it electronics, electrical or mechanical). Some concepts you learn can be used in IT process improvements as well. Please get skilled in AIML and Data Science. As you will have lot of scope in these areas as an Industrial Engineer in the future.

You can write but, if you want to do PG, you need MCom. Papers like Industrial Engineering or Data Science can help, if you want to switch field. However MBA would be a good option for you than GATE
