"If you worked hard, you would succeed" is telling that if you had worked hard, in the past, you would succeed, in the future. "If you had worked hard, you would have succeeded" is telling that if you had worked hard, in the past, you would have succeeded also in the past.

This lesson is desirable. You are gathering knowledge from lot of 📚. Suggestion: We have to say or write " PRESENT FORM" instead of "PRESENT TENSE". Because, in Negative Sentence of Simple Past Tense We are using Present Form of a Verb. For example: I did not sleep yesterday. (naann neettru irravvu thoongavilai) In the above sentence we used present form of a verb in Negative statement in Simple Past Tense.

Have a doubt mam..: Which verb is grammatically correct in the type one ...whether "will" or "shall"....? (For the example which u mentioned) both r having the same meaning...but in some sentences we have to use only will instead of shall..... And.... in which kind of situation we can use "shall" in if clause sentences
