I just saw him live in Paris, two days ago. His voice is really breathtaking and he is the humblest and cutest artist on stage. This song played at the very end. It was so powerful that even the security guys stopped looking at the crowd to watch him perform with their mouths wide open. I was crying the whole time and didn’t even notice that my cheeks were wet.

It’s sad that songs like these never reach charts nor get attention. This is pure art. I truly hope people would discover this music and give the recognition it deserves. This song truly worth of a Grammy. The melody, voice his emotions is just a fine piece of art.

LYRICS: Something hides in every night Brings desire from the deep And with it comes a burning light To keep us from our sleep And as the full star tries his best to make the white pearl shine Glances of a new day have arrived And though he's not alone, he fears to never love another And leave his heart forever with her smile Habibi, light is burning As I am burning Habibi, light is burning As I am yearning Something died within a soul Left the eyes to rust And every time it is recalled It covers all in dust Habibi, light is burning As I am burning Habibi, light is burning As I am yearning And meanwhile, a whole lot goes down Somewhere in the darkness, us together for a while You loved it then, so did I A feeling deep inside you wants to love it all again Now don't leave it there, just give it a chance If only I'd forget you after one last dance But you're everywhere, yes you are In every melody and in every little scar Yes you are, you are Habibi, light is burning As I am burning Habibi, light is burning And I am yearning

Sana hiç söylemedim neden bu şarkıyı seçtiğimi, sen her zaman ki gibi küçük detaylara takılıp, anlamsız olanları gözünde büyütüp anlamlı olanı gözünden kaçırıyordun. Kimin bildiğinin önemi yoktu oysa ki benim sana olan hislerimi sözlerin içine gizlemiştim sadece sen gör istemiştim. Şimdi gözlerini kapat ışık yanıyor ama benim gözlerim kapalı.

Came here due to the comparisons to Jeff Buckley (imo the best singer ever, RIP). And I must say this is the first time a singer, since Jeff, has made me smile due to their vocal ability alone. Absolutely beautiful. Here's hoping a long and prosperous career to this guy!! He's made a new fan in me today.

This made me think of a story. Eons ago, when the world was still new, there were two powerful goddesses that were madly in love. The Sun and Moon. Then The King of Darkness fell in love with the Moon. But the Moon's heart belongs to the Sun, so with all the magic she possessed the Darkness cursed the Sun and Moon to be forever apart. Still to this day they cannot be together they are thousands of miles apart and the Moon belongs to the Dark. But The Sun still reminds the Moon of their love by giving her light. They can only be together, only a little, on the Lunar and Solar Eclipses that happens only a few times a year for a few hours. Their love still burns bright and the Dark will never be able to keep the Moon forever.

'Something hides in every night Brings desire from the deep And with it comes a burning light To keep us from our sleep And as the full star tries his best to make the white pearl shine Glances of a new day have arrived And though he's not alone, he fears to never love another And leave his heart forever with her smile Haa-aah Habibi, light is burning As I am burning Habibi, light is burning As I am yearning Something died within a soul Left the eyes to rust And every time it is recalled It covers all in dust Haa-aah Habibi, light is burning As I am burning Habibi, light is burning As I am yearning And meanwhile, a whole lot goes down Somewhere in the darkness, us together for a while You loved it then, so did I A feeling deep inside you wants to love it all again Now don't leave it there, just give it a chance If only I'd forget you after one last dance But you're everywhere, yes you are In every melody and in every little scar Yes you are, you are, love Habibi, light is burning As I am burning Habibi, light is burning And I am yearning'
