Materials
*0.5mm and 0.8mm metal rod
*2mm and 0.3mm plastic sheet
*0.6mm, 0.8mm and 1mm aluminum pipes with inner diameters
*0.5mm insect pins
*0.4mm, 0.65mm and 1mm vinyl cord
*1mm and 1.8mm vinyl tube
Tamiya has released a new 1/12 scale motorcycle, so here is a production review.
HONDA DAX125
The kit allows you to build a DAX with a collaborative design with Tamiya, but it is a made-to-order item for a Thai Honda event and will not be sold in Japan.
It's like a “Weathering With You” version of a Honda super Cub 110.
Thai Honda has announced a fun motorcycle in collaboration with Chupa Chups.
About the kit
I made this after making the Tamiya Monkey 125, so I'll compare it with the Monkey.
*Improvements
There are holes in the disc brake rotor.
The seat is made of plastic.
The engine pistons are replicated.
Bad points
The front fender is now divided into two parts.
Tamiya quality just keeps on evolving.
Add details
The important part is where the cables and hoses connect from the front fork to the frame.
Add a hydraulic manifold and cable holder.
Disc brake hose connection port
Disc brake air bleed
Add two engine sensor cables
Add wires to the generator
Add wires to the coil
Add wires to the headlight
Add wires to the handlebars
Add ABS cables
Add hydraulic piping connection ports
Add a hydraulic manifold under the frame
Add fuel pipes
Add cable guides
It can be assembled in a very Tamiya-like way.
Painting
*Frame
Finisher's chrome silver paint, then clear blue
*Engine
Silver paint, then silver and black mixed and Black permanent marker
Finished with a multi-black wash
*Plated parts
All plating was removed except for the headlights and air filter.
Painted black and Gaia's Premium Mirror Chrome
Coated with water-based clear to protect the painted surface

DAXは昔乗っていたので、タミヤから発売のアナウンスがされた時から準備していました。モンキー作ったのもダックスの予行演習です。 3日間引きこもって完成しました！ありがとうございます😊

Another awesome job my friend. Love the use of the pins and also interesting way you did the chain, I will try that technique on my next model. The add on bits, cables, brackets etc were brilliant. The model looks so realistic. Congratulations you are a true sensei of model building.

Thank you for your comment. I make models to keep costs as low as possible. I almost never buy detail improvement parts. I would be very happy if it could be a reference for your model making.

I rode the Dax every day when I was a student, so it's a motorcycle that really interests me. I don't know much about Kawasaki motorcycles, but I'll look into motorcycles from the 1990s. Thank you always.

昨日購入しました☺️バイクキットは初心者🔰ですが組み立て易そうなキットですね。素組みでも十分映えそうな感じです🏍️ガンダムマーカーや水性アクリジョンのちょい足し塗装でも行けそうですね😅

初めてのバイクモデルをどれにしようか迷ってましたが、このDAX125にしてみようかと思います。大変参考になりました。（ピン打ち等のディテールアップは無理ですが・・）

同じキットご購入おめでとうございます。プラモは完成させる事が大切で、完成した時の達成感は嬉しくなります。私もバイク模型は作り始めて2年にもなっていません。あれこれするのは、そう思った時にすれば良いだけて、重要ではないと思います。初めてのバイク模型、作りやすいキットなので絶対いい完成品になります。ご不明な所ありましたら、お尋ねください。コメントありがとうございます！
