Great help for the oil paint suggestion! I always have a hard time cleaning the extra Tamiya panel dark after using it. Now I'd got another choice~

Hey Steve....thanks mate. Have a blast with the build. Sorry about your boys though. But they put up a good show and I guess that's what matters. In the end, one needs a little luck to win the big one and lady luck wasn't smiling. With England and Argentina out....I guess I will be supporting Croatia. Awesome videos I've been watching this series in particular because I got the same exact plane kit waiting to be built after I'm done with my A-10 Thunderbolt from Tamiya. I also find that when I use the Tamiya flat white color it takes at least 2-3 coats of it in order to get good coverage on the parts that need this color.

Thanks mate. Tamiya white and even yellow at times....these are hard colours to get good coverage with a single pass. What I do is, I try to keep the paint thin in the airbrush, else the extra layers build up and then there is the danger of getting an edge where the paint ends.

I've built two Tamiya 1/48 Vipers now. They are simply fantastic kits, but I agree with you that the decals are poor. I'll buy custom twobobs decals for them in future.

Wow that is a very nice model you did there :) I am currently building the same kit and hopefully it will look at least almost as good :D I noticed that you didn't added the static wicks or did you added them after completion? I think i broke already a lot of them and had to replace them all with scratch build ones.

Thanks Jazzy Desert Mouse :) The truth is that all tiny and fragile parts, like the wicks and antenna wires in WW2 aircraft, are added just a few minutes before I put the kit inside the display case. I have broken/bent/lost soooo many tiny parts. lol. actually it's not funny at the time :)
